Rules: None, aside from them being scaled and this ending only in death.

Verdict: I'm going with Gwangi here. The Rex would give him trouble, but he's slower than Gwangi, who could keep biting away at him. Gwangi's habit of pulling on his opponent's legs would prove useful against the T-rex. It'd take a while, but Gwangi'll win this.

Okay, let's take a look at this. The Giant T Rex has two rather nasty holes punched in him by a Triceratops, whereas in a showdown with a Styracosaurus, Gwangi comes into contact multiple times with the Styrac's horn, and yet every time the horn does nothing. Add that to Gwangi's instinctive need to beat the ever loving shit out of anything that tries to fight him and his aforementioned incredibly tough hide, this fight is Gwangi's lock, stock and smoking barrel.

Both are similarly armed, but Gwangi has the better scales. He wasn't pierced by the horns of the Styracosaurus. The T-rex will give Gwangi a hard time, but Gwangi will eventually win.

The scale factor was the only thing in favor of the Giant T-rex. If the Giant T-rex can somehow knock Gwangi on to the ground, he can tear his belly with those nasty toe claws like he did with the Trikes.

Otherwise, Gwangi is going to make skull and bones out of the Giant T-rex.

Have you even seen The Valley of Gwangi? He took multiple blows from a Styracosaurus without taking any visible damage. He also survived being crushed under a pile of boulders. I think it'll take more than a few bites to take Gwangi out.

The t-rex doesn't have nearly as strong a hide, so I don't think he'll be winning this fight. Gwangi wins.

But yeah I agree. The T-rex is too slow to do muxh of anything against Gwangi.
