It was also released byNew Line Cinema which is now apart of WB. I seriously doubt they are going to throw in any guest characters in this game.

My understanding is that Jason has been owned by New Line Cinema since before JASON GOES TO HELL was released. What makes this odd is that the films prior to that were released by Paramount, then suddenly New Line released HELL, JASON X, and FvsJ, but then Paramount went and released the remake along with New Line. Huh

Anyways, it's not relevant anyway. Sorry for the derailment, peoples.

Yeah, regardless, having Jason wouldn't even make any sense, regardless of who-owns-what. In MK? Sure. But a DC comics fighter? Not at all.

Now I don't know the story of both the freddy and Jason series,as I assumed Newline was all WB. But seeing now M. bay's name is attached to them, I wouldn't blame the confusion as paramount comes to mind with MB as of late.

Not really, haven't played or bought any MK game since Deadly Alliance, and I haven't bought MK vs. DC either. I'm not that impressed with most fighters.
This game had caught my interest with how over the top it is and how it surprisingly captures the essence of the DC creations. But mainly because the gameplay though structured similar to MK appears much more enjoyable and interactive, nearly mirror to that of Dead or Alive to some degree. How certain characters play our and interact with the battlefield themselves, its very well done.

Thus far, this is the first and only fighter that has truly impressed me so far in over 10 years. SFXT/MVC3, they were pretty good and enjoyable fighters, but for modern fighters, they didn't make me feel overly hyped or impressed.

Plus Solomon Grundy is just...He's just win all around.

Rent MK9 and play story mode now. Also give Skullgirls a playthrough, it's got the classic but new feel to it.

This game nearly has me sold, all that I'm looking out for is the remainder of the roster and replay content. If its satisfying then I'll bite, if not then I'll probably wait for a price drop or rent.

Apparently they really like referencing The Joker..

I don't know if he's playable yet, but it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume so.

Trust me, if there are any two characters I know will be playable it'd be Joker and Catwomen.

Now what we really need is Poison Ivy cause she be insanely powerful. And Power Girl might be thrown in for some fan service.

I really hope Joker is actually playable (eventually), but I can understand if they want to be less obvious with the roster this time around.

You know, I was thinking that too but after closer inspection it turns out to be a propane tank.

Also Ed Boon might of teased or spilled some beans regarding characters with his twitter. From what we've seen, it's covers of new 52 titles and they are Aquaman, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, and nightwing plus Boon tweeted that AWESOME meme pic of Aquaman with those megalodons.

Now if those are indeed them, with the exception of nightwing(He's cool but I dunno) these are all great choices ESPCIALLY the inclusion of Aquaman and Green Arrow and I hope much like Johns' AWESOME Aquaman run they pretty much nip all those terrible untrue Aquaman jokes right in the butt and hey with those Super Moves, you can kind of do this like he summons up a bunch of fish and various other aquatic life and then end it with Megalodons.

Oh and with the latest 15 minute video, I'm 100% Positive that guy in the fortress of solitude is Doomsday as we get a somewhat better look on the select screen.
