Crysis coming to consoles

I'll probably pick up the game again despite having it for PC. I let my friend borrow it and haven't gotten it back yet but it's okay. Any word if the PC version will be getting the upgrades?

PC version is already an upgraded version of the console version.

The console version is using a different graphics engine from what the trailer said also it'll have better gamepad support something the original Crysis sucked at.

I can tell from that video the original looked better, just like how PC Crysis 2 looks better than the console version. It will be interesting to see the reception from the console-playing crowd on the original. It was a very unique kind of gameplay experience, a bit different than the equal.

The island is still as beautiful as I remember though.

The CryEngine 3 was more or less a downgrade over CryEngine 2. It didn't really boost graphics performance more than it did just lower system requirements.

My biggest concern is how the console versions are going to handle the controls. I remembered when I played Crysis back in 2008, and it had enough controls to fill the entire keyboard.

CryEngine 3 is better, it's just Crysis 2 was a bit rushed in comparison to the first. There was also a lot more texture work in comparison to the first. Way more unique objects compared to the dozen of copied trees and boulders of the first. The optimization of the CryEngine 3 is light years ahead of the CryEngine 2 though.

And they mention they streamlined the controls in the video. But that interests me as well, because the suit powers worked differently in Crysis, so they may have made the powers work more like the sequel for all we know.

I'm so glad that Crysis is coming to consoles. I really didn't have a high end PC to begin with so I'm looking forward to getting it.

I played the first Crysis, and had a blast. I haven't played the second installment, so this is a great opportunity to do so.
