WB does not own Evil Dead. I believe Sony owns the rights to the Evil Dead series now, the rights to the movies went from New Line to Paramount to Universal.

I actually read the script for the movie that was adapted into the comic and I enjoyed it a lot. I should start reading the sequel to it when I get the chance, but yeah ash would be awesome in MK9.
