Street Fighter
I love how they purposely imbalance their games so they can shove another $20 patch down our throats.
Megaman
Everything is cancelled. Megaman Legends 3, a game with high demand, is cancelled. Yet DmC, a game that nobody cares about, continues to be developed.
Resident Evil
So dead the zombies won't come even come back. Literally.
Onimusha, Breath of Fire
Capcom doesn't care.
Darkstalkers
Capcom knows this game has HUGE demand and I guarantee it will sell more than Street Fighter just because it's Darkstalkers, it's essentially the Duke Nukem Forever of the fighting genre. Capcom just doesn't want to do it.
Dead Rising
Only decent, modern Capcom series that doesn't sell like crap.
Director of top selling franchise says he'll killl himself if RE4 is ported to the PS2, what does Capcom do? Ports it to every system on the planet. Mikami then quits which causes the Resident Evil series from that point on to dig itself further into a grave. (Zombie pun unintended)
Close Clover, the team made out of their best talent because of internal problems with Inaba and Capcom higher ups, thus firing everyone who was in Clover from Capcom. Capcom then ports Okami to the Wii and removes anything that hinted to anyone but the port team working on it, then make a sequel without anyone involved in the first game. They refuse to localize a title because it won't sell as much as Resident Evil, so no Monster Hunter for us.
I won't deny that Capcom
was a great dev, and in some cases they do make good modern games (Dead Rising series is an example), but as a
company Capcom is abysmal. Also I will drop Capcom after Asura's Wrath, I'll just take Platinum Games for my modern Japanese gaming, which is rather fitting since most of the Capcom talent joined under Platinum Games.
