Streets of Rage and House of the Dead II. The only two Arcade games that keep me coming back for more.

The thing is I can never find Streets of Rage in any arcade anymore...quite sad really.

While I love Mario Bros., I'm particularly fond of the 1983 Star Wars arcade game.
I think it's Alec Guinness' distorted, digitized voice that gets me. "Uuse-thee-fo-rce-Luueke!"

Haha, me too man. Meeee too. I could play that game for hours. Playing it on the PSP just doesn't feel the same as it was in the arcade/on DC. Power Stone on stick is just too damn fun.

I loved how all the SNES and Genesis TMNT games were the exact same game.

I was going to start a new Arcade thread, but found this one. I like many Arcade games, below are just a few of my favorites, I tried to get a variety from different times.

1. Galaga (1981)
2. Ms. Pac-Man (1982)
3. Crossbow (1983)
4. Rampage (1986)
5. Shinobi (1987)
6. Superman (1988)
7. Final Fight (1989)
8. Captain America and the Avengers (1991)
9. Spider-Man (1991)
10. King of the Monsters 2 (1992)
11. Cadillacs & Dinosaurs (1993)
12. X-Men: Children of the Atom (1994)
13. Marvel Super Heroes (1995)
14. Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (1998)
15. Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (1999)

I can honestly say that MvsC 2 was the last game I ever played in an arcade. The only one we had at a local mall shut down around 2000. The only ones we have left are at family fun parks (miniature golf/laser tag/batting cages etc…) . I went with my wife and a few friends around 2004 before we had kids. All I saw were DDR games, and a few Capcom Fighters, that’s about it, which is kind of sad. I can't imagine what if anything they have now. I long for the days of a good side scrolling adventure arcade game. I have all of the above either on PS2 arcade collections, or PC emulation except- Spider-Man (1991). I would love to have that game, as well as Aliens vs Predator (1994) because of how rare they were.

Other honorable mentions: (in no partucular order)

Donkey Kong
TMNT:The Arcade game
Star Wars Arcade game
Primal Rage
U.N. Squadron
1943
Rastan
King of Dragons
Knights of the Round
Time Killers
Road Blasters
Spy Hunter
Ghosts N' Goblins
There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.
