I love the new elites, but I have mixed feelings about the Grunts. I mean they look cool but the radically diffrent design is like "woah". They look like turtles.

To me I honestly like the designs and they fit the context. I mean the aliens in this covenant are basically a splinter cell. An evil remaining branch of the other alien species like in some ways the insurrectionists to the UNSC. So it would make sense that their armor would be falling apart and need changes. I mean it states in grasslands how the engineers or Huragok dissapeared so everything is going into disrepair.

I will admit I immediately got a Gears of War vibe but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it wasn't the monsters in the series that connected them but their history. Both war machines fell into massive disrepair which left them struggling to maintain what they had. Just my take on the pics.

And technically what you said ONLY applies to the Savage Locust, since the Queen's Guard still had the armor and weapons from before the sinking of Jacinto.

Well even the locust horde still had their armor somewhat diminished. Yes the Guard retained most of theirs but if I were in the Queen's position, I think that is where I would send all the available armor to.

My reaction to that entire video. Halo 2 Anniversary?? Halo Wars 2???? skreeonk yes!

The new enemies sorta look like sentinel. The other one looks feline or canine like.
