That video is from 2008.... Literally. That video got leaked a very long time ago, and was when Free Radical was still in business and was working on the game. They went bankrupt in 2009 and were bought by Crytek (the makers of Crysis 1 and 2). I have no idea if Crytek would thus own the rights to make one, and if they would still have those rights.

I think you missed the point. That game, engine and everything, was trashed. It doesn't exist anymore. It adds about as much speculation as me posting a video of the Aliens:Colonial Marines game for PS2 that was cancelled. There really isn't a point, because that specific game shown will never be on the market.

Does it matter? The alpha footage from 2008 is using the same engine/tech as the newly leaked alpha footage. It's dead. I know it sucks because I've been waiting for a sequel for over half a decade, but it's dead.

Which is funny because Lucasarts continues to release mediocre titles like Force Unleashed as well as that awful-looking Kinect game. Even though there are tens of thousands of Battlefront fans who want BF3.

The Battlefront series is The single greatest love letter to Star Wars in video game history. How much do you want to bet we'll get The Force Unleashed IV (you heard me) before they even consider BF III? Either that or countless Lego SW sequels or hey... how about more made up Jedi shit?

1 and 2 were both great games. I hope they make the new one a little more tactical. I found the previous two a little shallow but still tremendously fun.

I was playing Battle Front II today with my little cousin...I kicked his ass...

Oh no. Not even close.

I was playing on the Rebels side. I had modified the options so that each team had 500 reinforcements. Early on in the game, we captured all the command posts that the Imperials started out with... but the Imperials had captured all the command posts that we started out with, so the map was kinda flipped. So off i went through the trees, taking position near the end on one of those giant fallen logs, the hollow ones. On the other end was the nearest enemy command post.

Every single player on the Imperial team spawned from that one command post.

So it was me, just little old me, against 16 Imperials on the other side of the log. I managed to kill all of them, thanks to my award rifle and pistol. I took their ammo and health, and just before I began to head towards their command post on the other side of the log, all 16 players spawned again. I killed wave after wave without dying, although I did still have some close calls. After nearly half an hour of holding back the army, I was beginning to wonder one thing. Where on earth where all the other rebels? I was seriously the only one in combat, while everyone else was... somewhere. I managed to hold back the Imperials until the reinforcement meter had diminished from 400 something, to 30 something, miraculously, all without dying once. It was then, and only then that the rest of my team came to help me beat the remaining Imperials.

To this day, I maintain the belief that all the other Rebles and Ewoks were on a coffee break.

The command posts seemed to get swapped a lot on that map...must be the symetrical layout.

From the first one was the Super Battle droid was basically the most broken thing ever. I went an entire match fighting on the front lines. Had like 100+ kills and 0 deaths.

my favorite story was from the first one, again, when the jedi heroes were basically unkillable. Me and my friend spent the entire match fighting against Darth Vader and whatever forces he was with. I think it was on Renvar Citidal level. We each only died once or twice, and was probably the funnest match of battlefront I ever had. We managed to kill him near the end when I lured him over towards the edge and my friend blasted him off the edge with a rocket launcher.

Or the Droidikas (that how you spell it?) from the first one. They seemed MUCH tougher in the first one than the second one, to the point that I dubbed myself the "Destoroyah Droid" every time I played as one.

I was a big fan of both Battlefront games it really sucks Battlefront 3 is going to be the next Duke Nukem Forever.
