So I bought DC1 and 2 on PSN the other night.

I haven't started 2 yet and I only played a few minutes of 1 before going to bed.

Gonna start playing them hardcore tomorrow.

All of you are correct. Dino Stalker is the third game in Capcom's Survivor series. It followed Resident Evil Survivor and Resident Evil Survivor 2: Code Veronica, and preceded Resident Evil: Dead Aim. Survivor 2 was the only title never released in the United States, and while it's based on Code Veronica, it features enemies from Resident Evil 3, including the Nemesis.

.

Initially, Resident Evil was going to be a first person shooter, and early adverts showed as much. Furthermore, Resident Evil came out in 1996, which is the year Sega started developing the first House of the Dead, which wasn't released until 1997. It can be argued that Sega was cashing in on Resident Evil. As for Resident Evil games featuring first person perspective, it doesn't bother me. That's what Capcom wanted to do in the first place, and that's the reason there are first person sequences in the DS version of Resident Evil.

I agree with everyone that Dino Crisis 3 is pretty terribad. I prefer the second game for its story and faster gameplay.

I actually played the arcade version of Resident Evil Survivor 2: Code Veronica once, and dug it (which believe it or not, did get a U.S. release, I played it at boardwalk arcade in Virgina). I believe it also got a PS2 release in Japan, though it was passed on in the U.S, for some strange reason. The RE brand sells like crazy in the U.S., so I always found it odd that it never made it's way over here.

Sony of America has always pissed me off. They can release Street Fighter Alpha Generations here, but pass on The Darkstalkers Collection. They passed on Survivor 2, but bring out Dead Aim not long after. They were very selective in the PS2 days, for whatever reason.

Neat. I wonder if it was officially released in America or if the arcade simply managed to pull some strings to get a cabinet? I seem to remember hearing that either the arcade or PS2 version was released in England, but I'm not sure.

Correct.
