Just a rumor at the moment. I hear it's just a Wii add on, could work since it can have more people buy a Wii since most people view it as a kidddy system.

There been many rumors, some saying it's a add on and the others saying it's a new system. If it's a new system then I'm not surprise since it been nearly five years since the Wii came out, and Nintendo tends to create a new system every five years. For example:

SNES: 1991 - 1996
N64: 1996 - 2001
Gamecube: 2001 - 2006
Wii: 2006 - 2011

I don't think the Wii will die just yet if the next system comes out. They will end up making Wii games for another two more years until everyone gets the new system.

SNES: 1991 - 1996
N64: 1996 - 2001
Gamecube: 2001 - 2006
Wii: 2006 - 2011

Coincidental that each one has had a five year span? I think not! ^_^

More or less, I'd say the next console would come in late 2012 more or less.

I say Wii 2 should be out at least 2012, and MS said they have no plans for a 3rd Xbox until 2013 or 2014.

Following the rumors of the Wii's sequel yesterday, no rumors about the console have surfaced today.

According to 01net, the console is being codenamed "Project Café," unnamed sources have said. The sources also said that the hardware is comparable to the Xbox 360, including a three-core IBM PowerPC CPU.

The most interesting tidbit, though, may be the controller. 01net is saying it will feature a six-inch single-input touchscreen, front-mounted camera and the standard set of buttons. The control is also thought to be able to function as the Wii sensor bar as well.

It should be noted that this is the same French news site that accurately gave the hardware specs of the NGP before it was announced

I'm not counting on seeing this released until 2013 at the very least. I also don't think that Microsoft and Sony will rush there next gen systems if Nintendo does release this. The 360 is doing find on it's own and PS3 is finally starting to make a profit, and even if they do, I don't expect to see anything from them until later in the decade.

Could we fuse the other two threads? The 360 should last for another four or five years since the original Xbox had a six year run, and the PS2 had a 10+ year run.

Madden NFL 09 was the last original game for the Xbox, they still made games for the original Xbox in 2006 and 2007.

Yeah but for the most part the Xbox was killed off in 2006. They released a game like two years ago for the dreamcast would you consider that active for the dreamcast?

Madden 09 was a fluke release for the Xbox and not really sure why EA decided to release it.

Graphics fanboys are even worse. As far as I'm concern people who want good graphics and shitty gameplay over good gameplay and decent graphics are not real gamers, casual or hardcore. I buy my games so I can play them, not watch them.
