I managed to get my hands on it a few hours before the normal midnight release. (GMT+9 FTW)
So far the game is great, I'm about half way through the campaign which is decent when compared to MW2's campaign and I'm still warming up to the maps...they're decent, but none of them really jump out at me, the environments seem...dull compared to MW2 and Black Ops, most of them feel a little too claustrophobic too, but then again MW2 was like that in almost half the maps too.

I give it a thumbs up so far, gunplay is smoother than Black Ops and the hit detection is much better. (Playing on PS3 btw)

I love using that 2nd sniper in multiplayer, it's basically 1 shot kill. I've heard that people are having trouble linking their CoD Elite accounts to their game profiles.

favorite places are Bakaara, Seatown, Mission, and Dome. Favorite guns are the MSR because its just awesome as a sniper in every way, the P90 because you can wreck with it, the MK14 because it is a semi-auto assualt rifle, and the USAS-12. Don't like that snow map and Carbon. Village can sometimes be a pretty annoying map to play on as well. Hate the XM grenade launcher, the Skorpion, and the M16. Like the support killstreak and like the gold camo.

Just played this and it's pretty awesome, a big improvement over Black Ops. Like Ghost the bat said, the hit detection is much better!

My only complaint is that the maps feel a bit too empty when not playing online but oh well, it's all good.

Like you get hit and are knocked out and someone is dragging you to your feet etc

There's Interchange, Sandbar, and Bakarra.

I recently discovered that the SCAR with a thermal scope and kick is pretty good, I went 23-0 on TDM with it.
My favorite sniper is the L118, favorite maps are Dome, Bootleg, and Resistance.
