My BW2 team is probably gonig to be:

Metagross
Seviper
Tyrannitar
Hydreigon
Houndoom
Crobat

Reason for no starters? Becuase all the Unova starters... just don't really compare well to previous starters.

As for that riddle... Good night, I can't make heads or tails... Maybe it's stat total, or something...

Thusfar for BW2 it looks like I'll be scooping up Serperior and Azumarill. Then again, we still have around 250ish Pokemon to be revealed. Just crossing my fingers that Delibird is available before the 5th gym.

I'll probably be going with Serperior as my starter again. Arcanine will almost certainly be on my team as well. I imagine I'll be using either Magneton, Ampharos, or Galvantula, depending on which one shows up first. Beyond that, I dunno.

WHAT. THE. F@#$!!!!!

I've been IV breeding to get a head start on BW2. I give the Pokemon with the 31 IV stat the respective power item to pass it down to the young. And when I calculate the stats of the hatched Pokemon, the stat I want is 26! What the HELL am I doing wrong?

Here's what I'm doing:

Male Tepig with 31 IV attack and Female Tepig with Adament nature.
Ditto with 31 Def with Ferroseed, Bulbasaur, and Eevee.

The Male Tepig has the Power Bracer (the attack power item) and the Ditto has the Power Band (the Defense power item), I can't remember the exact names. Also for Ferroseed I want the 0 IV to boost Gyro Ball I have the Speed Power Item. I check the IV's for the newly hatched Pokemon and every time I get 26 instead of 31.

I am about to pull my hair out.

OR, since I fully read everything, they don't have 31 in that stat. They have 26.
If you're just going by characteristic, that's the problem.

I used serebii.net calculator and they have 31 IV in their stats. I've used the Dittos before and they gave 31 IV stats before.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. You can't have two power items, only one: and after doing some hunting, the odds of getting two 31 IV stats may take awhile.

Sorry for the confusion.

Anyways, I'm no longer using IV calculators. I'm sticking with the judge in the Subway. Last night, I got an Eevee that he said had 31 IVs in special attack and speed. I used the calculator on serebii.net and it said the IVs were low. I've had this before with Hidden Power too.

What level are you calculating the IVs at? Those IV calculators only work if the Pokemon in question are at high enough levels for their stats to reflect the IVs. In Gen 4 a lot of people did "IV battles" by setting up lvl 100 battles on WiFi to check the lvl 100 stats of lvl 1 hatchlings. The only real option for that in gen 5 is the battle subway, which is super inconvenient.

If you're not going to hack Pokemon outright, at least do yourself a favor and get an Action Replay so you can have unlimited rare candies, clone copies of good breeds, and check IVs and such.

As long as you know that guy's statements, its hidden power type, nature, whatever the little status screen comment about it is called, stats, and EVs, you can get them pretty exact at low levels.

That's even less efficient than checking via the battle subway, though. Get an AR if you want to check IVs.

But it's free! (and way less time consuming than Rare Candy raising).

Or you can just, you know, not care about IVs and rape face with FEAR Aron.

I'm not looking to get absolute perfect IVs, I just want for 31 IVs for specific stats on certain Pokemon. Such as either one of the attack stats and speed for attackers and defense stats for my indirect fighters.

This whole thing with IV's is specificly the reason why I don't do the IV bullshit in Pokemon games. I'll just go buy a AR and hack a perfect IV pokemon if I really want one that bad.
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

Everyone makes it out to be a big deal, but my Dragonite, Scrafty, Wargle, and others took, AT MAX, 30 minutes to breed them with 25+ in every needed stat.

I have a six Dittos that have 31 IVs in each of the stats so I can breed for specific ones as well as the natures I want. So while it may take awhile, in actuality the natures have already been bred and several have 31 IV in one of the stats I want.

Getting decent IV pokemon is very fast, and you can do it without paying an AR if you're willing to learn how to RNG anyways. You can also check the IVs by setting a virtual GTS with a random computer, which is deceptively easy to do. Also as some other mentioned before, IV training is greatly enhanced if you have a Ditto with decent IVs, it is not nearly hard enough to warrant an external gave hacking device, as there are many options to get nice pokemon as it is.

IV training is not a thing. IV breeding is. And everybody I know who RNG abuses also uses an AR to actually check their IVs and make clones and get items and such. And of course to RNG you either have to catch a shiny on your game by natural means... or use an AR to check your secret ID. And then once you do have your Pokemon and EV them, you need to get them to lvl 100 to battle others online competitively.

Do what you like, though. I offer this advice only out of a desire to save other players a lot of undue frustration. I understand what it's like to prefer to breed your own Pokemon legitimately, and I did that for many years. My opinion based on a good deal of experience is that an AR is virtually required for those who breed their own Pokemon in 5th gen--for a multitude of reasons (IV checking, cloning, items such as held items and EV training items, Rare Candies to get to lvl 100 since there's no auto-100 function on WiFi now, etc.).

But, again, do what you like. I'm trying to help, but I won't fight with you if you don't agree with my perspective.

See, my issue is that if you're going to bother to do all that for Wi-Fi battles, just play PO or one of the other simulators. Then it's hardly any work at all.
