Can't wait to start EV training them!

I think this is one of the most overlooked awesome changes in GenV: Being able to EV train Lv.100 Pokemon.

What do yo uthink is a better team mate for me to use on my Leafgreen team, Slowbro, or Lapras? I need a good water type to use as a surfer and my dealer of ice-type and psychic damage...

Lapras has a higher Attack stat but I don't believe it learns any physical ice attacks. Slowbro can learn Ice Punch and also has a higher Special Attack. I'd go with Slowbro.

Gen3, bub. There are no physical ice attacks. And Ice Punch is a tutor move anyway.

I'd go with Lapras. Thunderbolt is a much better coverage move than Slowbro's Flamethrower.

Wait a sec... Isn't the Lapras that's obtainable only level 25? And I believe I can catch wild Slowpokes up to level 40 in some places...

My team currently is Charizard, Primeape, Nidoking, Victrebell, and Dragonair. I'm gonna make Dragonair an all-special attacker, as with Slowbro (I simply don't have the patience to level grind a Lapras from 25 to 40+ just to catch up with the rest of the team...)

^Minimum Slowpoke levels are also 15-20, so if you wanna spend all your time looking for a high level Slowpoke, be my guest, but Lapras is guaranteed.

I'd go with Lapras, myself. But I can't say I've ever actually used a Slowbro.

According to Serebii, the new Keldeo distribution for Japan is for Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. So, obviously, take this with a grain of salt. Remember Shaymin's other forme?

This should 100% confirm compatibility. Unless, the games are different entirely, but... I'm looking optimistic towards this.

Also, why do all my Pokewalker Pikachus have -SpAtk natures? It's really annoying. I know with a Light Ball it won't really matter because their attacking stats will be so insane anyway, but still.

This is insane. You're not supposed to "enjoy" Pokemon. You're supposed to analyze every last bit of code until it's not fun, and then mechanically procede using a series of scripted plans for each situation. C'mon, man, get with the program!

Pokemon is fun to a point ingame, but once you've beat it it gets boring for me. Yeah I can collect them all, but eh~
I have fun in-game and beating the story, but afterwards start breeding for stats and stuff so I can get into battling other people.

Certain natures will increase one specific stat, while decreasing another. For example, a Naughty natured pokemon would have an increased Attack stat, but a decreased Special Defense stat.

That's why I have one version to keep, and one version to playthrough. Once I go as far as I feel like with a team, I mine the resources and reset. That's why I have Diamond and Platinum, HG and SS, and Black and White. Using new Pokemon all the time keeps it fresh for me. Plus, I get to use all sorts of Pokemon I normally wouldn't care about.

A stat goes up and another goes down with most natures. Some natures don't effect the stats at all. It's not really the complicated.

I didn't care for natures or EVs at first until I saw how much of a difference they made. If you don't go for them then you'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes.

For example: I had a Salamence that I didn't EV train or have a compatable nature and it's Attack stat was around 330. Then I got a Salamence with an Adament nature and it's Attack stat got 252 EV and it's Attack broke the 400 mark. I was sold on both after I found that.

I don't bother EVing for ingame teams, nor am I super strict for natures. As long as it's not minus in the attacking stat I'm using, it's generally ok. The only real exception is when it's a Pokemon I can soft reset for, like a starter. Then I'll at least go until I get one with a plus in the attacking stat I'll be using.

That is, of course, unless while searching for a starter's nature, I find a shiny Chikorita. :O
