I think I know why sonic had such a minor role in brawl. From what I heard, it took quite a while to get him into the game and I guess they didn't want to rewrite the story and scrap aton of cutscenes.

This. He was added late into the game explaining why he appears only in the last cut scene and affects nothing in the story at all.

I think Snake will be back in the 4th game since fans like him, same with Sonic. Megaman and Crash are the guest characters I want the most in SSB4.

I say for 3rd Party characters, give us 5 or 6 in total including Snake and Sonic. They way, it's sort of even with the Mario and the pokemon series.

MAAAYBE 2 per 3rd party franchise but that may be stretching it. Megaman SHOULD be next a long with someone from street fighter like Ryu. :3

That idea got changed as soon as brawl's trailer debuted.

All I'm asking would be 2 from each franchise.

Sonic and Robotnik, MAAAAYBE shadow but they would have to REALLY work on that moveset.

Snake and... whoever.

Megaman and maybe wily or just don't use any other Megaman characters and give us Friggin Ryu!

Also, Mewtwo BETTER be in 4!

If they are going to add two from each franchise then my idea would be:

- Sonic, and Eggman
- Snake, and Liquid Snake
- Megaman and Doctor Willy
- Crash and Neo Cortex

I would love to see Eggman, Cortex, Willy, and Bowser all team together in the story mode.

The Subspace Emissary was real nice, but the enemies and stages were pretty lame, most of them at least, very uninspired, make it themed like Melee's adventure mode and we're set.
