Well that is what I meant by the "in-game content" comment, as obviously the maps will be released later. While it is tempting, I view it the same as the angelic wings in Diablo 3. Awesome? Hell yes. Would i pay more than a few dollars for it? Eh. I am a huge fan of both Aliens (obviously) and Diablo (which is quite possibly my favorite game series ever), and I ended up not getting the collector's edition for that.Goji wrote:Well, you're just getting DLC early, basically. SEGA did the same thing with the Hunter Edition of AvP.
I don't know about you, but being able to play as Drake, Apone, Hicks and Hudson on Day 1 sounds pretty attractive to me, but then again, I'm a diehard ALIENS junkie. (Which you obviously are as well, but for whatever reason this doesn't appeal to you).
Also that resin statue skreeonk rocks.

The resin statue is awesome, but then again I am not really into the whole collecting statues and models thing.
Precisely. The only Collector's edition I have ever bought was for Red Alert 3, and it came with a ton of really awesome things (including a really nice steel case) for only like $10 extra.Goji wrote:When you put it that way, I can definitely understand why it doesn't appeal to you, GojiraFan. I imagine the statue alone counts for an extra $20-$30 alone.
Hell, this doesn't even come with a steel book case, which the AvP's collector's edition had.

You could do it in that Alien vs Predator game. Now that was awesome. Human gameplay, meh. Predator gameplay, good. Xeno gameplay... I LOVED IT!
