This definitely blows, but I've already been waiting 6 years (and in a way, my entire life) for this game. Another 8+ months isn't going to kill me.

I'm kinda glad they moved the game's release date. What with buying a car and paying for it's upkeep, I don't have as much to spend on games. makes the strain on my wallet a little easier this year.

Seems like a pretty cool Collectors Edition.
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

Sonic Electronic Ball Breakers
Yes.

In all honesty, it looks pretty cool. But for the same reason I didn't buy the collector's edition for Diablo 3, I won't be buying this one. Is the extra $40 really worth the powerloader and some in-game content really worth it? Probably not.

Well, you're just getting DLC early, basically. SEGA did the same thing with the Hunter Edition of AvP.

I don't know about you, but being able to play as Drake, Apone, Hicks and Hudson on Day 1 sounds pretty attractive to me, but then again, I'm a diehard ALIENS junkie. (Which you obviously are as well, but for whatever reason this doesn't appeal to you).

Also that resin statue skreeonk rocks.

Well that is what I meant by the "in-game content" comment, as obviously the maps will be released later. While it is tempting, I view it the same as the angelic wings in Diablo 3. Awesome? Hell yes. Would i pay more than a few dollars for it? Eh. I am a huge fan of both Aliens (obviously) and Diablo (which is quite possibly my favorite game series ever), and I ended up not getting the collector's edition for that.

The resin statue is awesome, but then again I am not really into the whole collecting statues and models thing.

Well The in-game content for the Diablo 3 Collector's Edition didn't appeal to me that much, but I like to collect game soundtracks and art books and the like. I think Bioshock 2 has to be the best Collector's Edition I ever bought though.

When you put it that way, I can definitely understand why it doesn't appeal to you, GojiraFan. I imagine the statue alone counts for an extra $20-$30 alone.

Hell, this doesn't even come with a steel book case, which the AvP's collector's edition had.

Precisely. The only Collector's edition I have ever bought was for Red Alert 3, and it came with a ton of really awesome things (including a really nice steel case) for only like $10 extra.

Edit: Correction, I also have the collector's edition of Crysis. That was more so my mom just grabbing the first one she saw for a present than me asking for it though.

I buy collector's edition's to games that I'm really hype up for. I would have buy the collector's edition of Skyrim if I had the money at the time. The good thing about the game being push back is that I have more time to save up money.

The ability to play as Hicks, Hudson and Apone gaurentees a pre-order for me. Though I'd much rather have a Pulse Rifle Replica like Gears did with the Lancer than just a Power Loader toy.

Right. Because a resin statue is a "toy".

The price would have probably been around $1.999 if it came with an actual Pulse Rifle Replica.

Gears 2's collector edition that came with the life sized Lancer was only $139. I'd still much rather have a Pulse Rifle than a Power loader statue ;) , thats just my 2 cents.

Wish you could play as Xenomorphs.

You could do it in that Alien vs Predator game. Now that was awesome. Human gameplay, meh. Predator gameplay, good. Xeno gameplay... I LOVED IT!

I could just sneak up on humans when they wouldn't be looking if I could. Too bad we could never cause the humans to crack from the fear and go crazy.

According to this, there will be competitive multiplayer:

So yeah we'll prolly get Marines vs Aliens.

Well yeah, who wouldn't, but obviously, that didn't happen. I think you'll get over it.

You definitely can play as xeno's in multiplayer. It was revealed quite some time ago. Come on people, there are videos all over the internet..
