Capcom Vs Series Thread

Postby LegendZilla » Sat Jun 29, 2019 8:37 pm

Hello people, LegendZilla here yet again with another thread.

Right now I want to talk about what jsut might be my all-time favorite Fighting game franchise, the Capcom Vs series that began with X-men Vs Street Fighter back in 1996, eventually spawning the likes of Marvel Vs Capcom, SNK Vs Capcom, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom and so forth. What do you think of this series? What is your favorite entry? Most importantly, what crossovers would you like to see Capcom do in the future?

I for one think that one day there needs to be a Shonen Jump vs Capcom, considering the former had at least 3 series that influenced Street Fighter and based on how Marvel Vs Capcom had its aforementioned beginnings as X-men Vs Street Fighter, I think that it's only logical that one day it further evolves into Disney Vs Capcom.

Feel free to elaborate and suggest what potential crossovers we could see from good old Capcom.

Nintendo vs. Capcom.

Kinda surprise that hadn't been done. Capcom arguably almost if not as big of an library of IPs as Nintendo does.

I have wanted to see that for a long time to be frank. However, since more and more Capcom IPs enter Smash Bros as time goes by, I see less reasons for a full blown Nintendo Vs Capcom.

Capcom is too cartoony for anything beyond VS. Marvel, Tekken and Nintendo.

Resident Evil says hi.

Chris and Nemesis were severely watered down and belong to Capcom, so they as a brand didn't get much choice in the matter.
