Played a little last night thanks to Homebrew, the menu navigation seemed kind of clunky to me I don't know if that's because I was playing while laying down in my bed or using the Wii Motion Plus add on instead of the Wiimote +.

I honestly didn't get very far in the game only like a minute of actual play time because my battery in my controller died I'll give more thoughts on the full game when I have more time to play it.

I'm using a wiimote+ and it also has the menus seem kind of clunky, but everything else controls nice and easy. Loving it so far, I'm into Faron Woods.

Sorry my post might have bee confusing I don't actually have a Wiimote Plus yet I have that stupid add on the Wii Motion Plus but I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with clunky menus.

I'll hold off playing the game until I get my bundle in tomorrow or Tuesday.

Damn, Gamespot is showing they have balls with giving it a average rating while everyone else is praising it.

Question though, do I really need motion plus or whatever the attachment is called to play it?

Yes. If you don't have one, buy the special edition of the game. You get the $40 wiimote for $20, plus its gold and has a hylian crest.

Got my bundle in today and the clunky menu navigation is still there but still a fun game.

Again I'm not very far in the game still in the little intro

I'm currently in the Eldin region, and I love the Mogma race so far.

I'm way farther than you guys. But, this game is turning out awesome. Just when I think the Zelda team has run out of ideas, they amaze me with items and level design at every turn. I think if I had one complaint, it would be that the enemy diversity is a little lacking.

It's making a strong case for my most favoritest Zelda item ever. And that means it's competing with the megaton hammer.

The game is just too damn good. I've lost so much sleep over the past two nights, but it's been totally worth it. I love the art design for this game..I think I might even finally go pick up the "HD" Wii cables just so I can appreciate it more.

I tried that on my one HD TV, came out on the TV with jagged lines around everything, but on SD it looks beautiful. WIll try it again on my second HD TV later. Will realistically be playing this all night, and all break.

Save your money on the cables. No matter the connection, the Wii doesn't output any higher than 480. Even with the "HD" cables, the picture may only be marginally better, if even noticable at all.

Found something VERY abuseable. You'll need the beetle to do this.

Image

Right now, I'm on Beedle's ariship. Right next to me is a building with a bird's nest on top of it that has 2 blue and green rupees. If you enter a building and leave it, after you've gotten the rupees, they will respawn. Grab the 4, enter building, leave, grab 4 more, enter building, wash, rinse, repeat.

Hope this helps you guys out!

Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up.

I know this is off topic, but I've wanted to grab the Metroid Prime Trilogy for a while now (never got to finish MP3), and it's a whopping $69.99 USED at Gamestop, which after paying the same price for Skyward Sword, I was not ready to shell another $70 the same evening. I've always wanted to play those games in slightly higher resolution, but it sounds like the Wii's "HD" cables are completely and totally pointless.

Keep in mind it's also updated controls. And it was a limit run collector's item, so that's a pretty good deal anyway.

Back to Zelda, just beat the 4th dungeon boss. I think it's one of my favorite boss battles ever. Absolutely epic.
