I say go Rambo this time. It's much more rewarding that way. If you ever get truly stuck, and really have no clue what to do, you can always glance at an online guide if you have to.

Here I go again with my "back in the days" comment:

Back in the day, if you got stuck, it meant you staying put, playing the game, wandering uselessly until something worked out, that was real cool as a kid, and you couldn't save on the spot on some games!

Still need an online guide for the damned OoT water temple. I would trust myself more with it, but it's possible to get yourself stuck in there and be unable to continue or go back. At least it rewards you with Morpha, the easiest boss in existence.

I want my shiny gold Wiimote.

The amount of praise for this game is intimidating. I really want to give it a shot.

I always take hype with a grain of salt. Sometimes a lump of it. I will always wait to play agame before making an assessment. It's always nice to see a tidal wave of fantastic reviews though.

It's definitely nice to see such positive reviews. It all comes down to the player. Naturally, a Zelda fanatic such as myself would play the game up even if it garnered a more ho-hum response. Much like LGM would (naturally) eat up a new Metroid title, regardless of what the critics are saying.

Everyone's mileage will vary of course, but I think this game will truly be deserving of the word epic. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Metroid Prime: Hunters is one of my least favorite games. Ever. Derp. And I can still acknowledge Other M's shortcomings while still enjoying the game. I'll never praise it as the best game ever, but will always be annoying when people slam it with baseless accusations.

As for Skyward Sword: if there is a skyward megaton hammer somewhere in there, I will be a happy gamer.

Not to get too off topic, but was MP:Hunters really that bad? I only ever played the demo, and never got around to the actual game for some reason. I heard some good things about, and it honestly always looked like a lot of fun, but if a Metroid diehard doesn't even like it, there must be something icky about it.

I agree I was sort of on the fence about Wind Waker because of the cel shaded graphics but that really grew on me the more I got into the game. I actually really enjoyed WW and wouldn't mind another console title like that some point down the road, sure Skyward Sword uses some of it's graphical charm but a full fledged "toon" Link game wouldn't be bad.

I'm surprised it hasn't been put here yet but Nintendo is indeed working on a full 3DS Zelda game and it's not a port of Majora's Mask. I saw it on IGN last week in one of there daily video things they do. So yeah new original 3DS game in the works and they're considering porting MM to the 3DS as well.

One medicore score in a sea of great reviews really isn't that bad of a thing.

Only four more days to go well I'll have to wait a bit longer since my copy is preordred at Amazon.

Besides Gamespot always does low scores for Nintendo.

Gamespot and GI have no problems showing their dislike :P

Well since I needed a new Wii, Target was giving Skyward Sword for free with every Wii system, so I went with that, so no shiny Gold Wii remote for me, but oh well at least I can play it!

Played a little last night thanks to Homebrew, the menu navigation seemed kind of clunky to me I don't know if that's because I was playing while laying down in my bed or using the Wii Motion Plus add on instead of the Wiimote +.

I honestly didn't get very far in the game only like a minute of actual play time because my battery in my controller died I'll give more thoughts on the full game when I have more time to play it.

I'm using a wiimote+ and it also has the menus seem kind of clunky, but everything else controls nice and easy. Loving it so far, I'm into Faron Woods.

Sorry my post might have bee confusing I don't actually have a Wiimote Plus yet I have that stupid add on the Wii Motion Plus but I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with clunky menus.

I'll hold off playing the game until I get my bundle in tomorrow or Tuesday.

Damn, Gamespot is showing they have balls with giving it a average rating while everyone else is praising it.

Question though, do I really need motion plus or whatever the attachment is called to play it?

Yes. If you don't have one, buy the special edition of the game. You get the $40 wiimote for $20, plus its gold and has a hylian crest.
