Not necessarily. I wouldn't say it was, but it's definitely the most tedious from Ocarina of Time. I just felt like the dungeon was overly long. The dungeon didn't have anything really that memorable about it, as it lacked a lot of the imagination they others had. I did like the idea of the dungeon going up rather than out, but I dunno. mehh.

And I killed Morpha in less than 45 seconds. wtf.

Because Morpha is one of the easiest bosses in all of video game land.

Spin: I agree, The Water Temple isn't as "cool" as the other dungeons, in terms of it's aesthetic appeal, and is the most tedious.

If you get Morpha in the corner (especially if you have the Biggoron sword already) It's OVER.

Ya know... I still feel this was just something that Nintendo just spat this out to make the fanboys shut up. Miyamoto has kept this under so much secrecy, I just feel that something like this would have been made, ya know, bigger. I just heard about this about..... 14 hours ago.

Just my opinion on it. Plus, why would they make a timeline based on Link failing when... Ya know, he didn't...

I really never cared for this, so I just looked at the images.

I feel the same way about it. But if it shuts people up, then so be it.

This "Time line" is definitely an interesting read. I always figured that Wind Waker followed Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask, but I also knew that Twilight Princess took place in the same continuity as Ocarina of Time, which was always a bit confusing to me. This finally clears that up.

Maybe I missed something, but did Miyamoto or Aonuma have any hand in putting this together?

After not having nearly enough time to play as I'd like, I'm now on the final stretch of Skyward Sword. Just arrived at the Sky Keep.

To answer the timeline questions, an official Zelda timeline has always existed at Nintendo. I think everyone basically had the past vs. future timeline split figured out, though I don't think anyone had a damn clue that Nintendo had a third split where Link dies.

Normally I don't care at all about continuity in Zelda games, but I think the "Link Fails" branch of the timeline is totally fascinating, and a really ballsy story-telling move on Nintendo's/Aonuma's part. http://shigeruslist.com/2011/12/29/offi ... -timeline/

I didn't know water-based monsters were at all similar to gigantic Moth's.

Actually, I'm tempted to say that Ganondorf/Ganon (in OoT) are just as easy to dispatch as Morpha is.

Nah. Even being able to beat a boss almost flawlessly isn't as easy as a boss that physically doesn't have the capability to harm you.

Sorry if this post is redundant, but I didn't see the Zelda symphony mentioned anywhere else. I'm sure most of you have heard about this by now, but if you haven't, "Hey! There's a Zelda Symphony touring around North America!" Unfortunately it seems to be a pretty strange selection of cities, but if you're on the west coast there's a good chance you'll be able to hit up one of their shows. If you weren't compelled to finish it then, it's doubtful you'll ever finish it.

Calling Ocarina of Time "boring" in a Zelda thread is a new one though. Dem fightin' words yo.

I added a poll to this topic, and I'll probably change it periodically.

Eh, I do find it to be so.

So, did anyone else enjoy the practically free download of Majora's Mask through Club Nintendo?
