Monster Hunter General Thread 2.0

Seeing as all of my posts prior to the incident that I missed entirely have vanished into the ether, the original Monster Hunter thread likely no longer exists (but I'm not gonna look too hard for it) so here's the new thread for any of us who've decided that the best pastime is hitting a dragon with a hammer the size of an engine block, sword the size of a European car, lance with a shotgun in it, or any other really silly weapon.

In Tri, maybe... but after that, not so much... same for the LS

Hammer has been my weapon of choice, along with the Switchaxe and Great Sword as of late...

Gunlance and Longsword. I accept no substitutes.

I decided it wasn't worth the effort and just got a ROM of the game.

Anyone else here play that?
I don't, and others most likely don't. $14.99 for a mobile game? Really? That's overpriced.

Freedom Unite isn't a mobile game. It was originally released for the PSP and is generally regarded as one of the best Monster Hunter games available, due to its size, content, and replay factor. The reason I didn't get the ios port, however, is because I have paid for the game once on the PSP. I shouldn't have to pay for it again. Thus, the ROM.

I tried out the monster hunter 4 demo today. I really like the insect glaive and the charge sword, though I think the great sword will stay as my main weapon, I just got too good with it to use other weapons too often. Gore magala is also pretty cool. I'll be getting the game on it's release date, next friday.

I've got monster hunter 4 pre-ordered with its limited edition new 3ds XL! I can't wait. And yes, I am going to wear the link costume and name myself as such. I first got into MH with tri, and continued to play in mh3u. I've always used the switch axe but I might try something new for this one. The I sect glaive does look cool.

I'mma stick primarily with the GS, as it's a very reliable and powerful weapon and is even better this gen. However, I'll be making use of the charge blade as well. Very good weapon from what I've seen.

I got lucky enough to find a Rathalos plate on my first kill in MH4U, therefore I'm going to craft his armor set. After that, I'm off to slay infected tigrex.

Wow, it's been a bit since that last post. Now I'm at the end of G-rank and one part away from getting Akantor armor X. Current armors in G are rathalos soul Z(Blademaster), desert seltas(gunner), and kaiser armor(blademaster).(Teostra armor)

Heck yeah! I haven't seen gameplay of it before I hunted it. So when it started flying I had no idea what I was in for. XD

For those who don't feel like dealing with Guild Quests for their Yian Garuga and Deviljho, the new DLC lets you hunt those in a more proper fashion now.
