Oh so that will work? I was worried that if I deleted my system data It would delete everything I unlocked.

Nope you'll be fine just transfer your game saves then you'll just have to do the install again. Annoying but hey that's the price you pay for getting a larger HDD.

Well I got my case and the hard drive is too big for the case. I could swear I have the right hard drive.

That should fit, PS3 uses a 2.5" SATA HDD. Have you asked any other places?

What do you mean other places? Also the part of the metal case that goes over HDD is not quite high enough so it pushes into the side of the HDD. This could be due too the metal case not being in the best condition.

It's a replacement you got off eBay right? I'd ask the seller for a refund and get another one.

As for other places I ment like GameFAQs or somewhere that might have better info than a Toho message board.
