Is it normal that I was able to get a PC copy of DMC4 for $6?
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

So I guess the DMC fanbase refers to this Dante as Dino (Dante in name only). Which honestly irks me, it just makes the fanbase come across as being waaaaay too conservative, PMSing crybabies. It's not as if Ninja Theory is doing with Dante what Tristar did with Godzilla. The character has main standards he needs to meet 1)needs to be a cool and stylish combatant with an inhuman prowess 2)is able to use a variety of weapons in an effective and stylish manner 3)wears a red coat of some sort. This Dante has these characteristics, so as far as I'm concerned this representation isn't unfaithful to the character.

Ya new Dante actually looks cooler to me, I think it's the darker hair, but I think he looks like a cool dude. Certainly looks pretty badass when he's in action. I never really liked old Dante that much anyways.

I like the new Dante, but I'm a sucker for white hair, exactly the way how Classic Dante sports it, so it's obvious who I prefer.

I would not be surprise if you can unlock Dante from 1, 3, and 4 as a unlockable skin at the end of the game.

I will laugh so hard if this is true.

We still don't know anything about the story so far. As much I hate Dante's look, I still want to see some gameplay and story info first.

There's a new trailer and it looks kinda cool, I like how Dante's hair turns white somehow, that's something.

HS, check your links when you copy and paste them, man.

Sorry about that. I was watching something on Youtube and I forgot that I had the same link copied. I still want to hear about the story for the game since it looks like that we know nothing about it.

The new gameplay videos still show me nothing to buy this game. This whole game feels like a pointless reboot, DMC4 was fine and sold great. It just piss me off that Capcom thinks DMC has no appeal to American gamers which I find wrong.

Exactly how do I sound like a hypocrite? Pretentious, maybe. But a hypocrite, I don't understand what justifies you making this accusation. I'm just open to change.

...he's half angel, half devil... so what? It was already made apparent that this was going to be a reboot, so what does it matter if they change his origin? That's almost to be expected with a reboot.

I do have to admit, that what I've seen of the gameplay videos doesn't impress me much. I'll have to see more before I decide if this game is even worth my time.

Before I start I'm not trying start an argument

but you say that new Dante has the standards that make Dante, Dante when he doesn't. To me they have changed Dante just as much as Gino to Godzilla.

I appreciate you telling you're not trying start anything. But next time be more careful when throwing around declarative statements. The simple fact is that I have yet to say something within this thread that is hypocritical. Nothing I've said contradicts any of my formers statements.

I'm not trying somehow insult your standards for this character. But based on what I can tell, not much has changed. This isn't some character of classic literature who has decades of being intertwined within the culture. This a character who is honestly not all that old, and can be changed. Now you may disagree with me on that, and that's fine, but no matter whether you disagree with me or not we need to remember that this a reboot of a series. Thus granting them creative freedom within the universe they've been given access to. Capcom has given Team Ninja free-reign to do as the please with this franchise. If your mad about this decision take it up with Capcom, not Team Ninja.
The difference between this Dante and GINO is that unlike GINO, Dante still retain the core characteristics that make up Dante. They incorporate his iconography, image, and basic background (as far as we can tell). Everything subjective is still intact. As for how the more personal geniune characteristics have changed is as of yet undetermined. And if you still disagree with me, wait until the game comes out before you mark this Dante as an unfaithful rehash of the original. Then at least we can all fairly justify what this game does right or wrong.

That's exaggerating, he retains more traits from Dante than what they took out from what we've seen, only by playing the game we'll see how things turn out.

I still don't know why Capcom thinks Dante does not have any appeal to American gamers? I mean he is a demon hunter with a huge sword, goes around shooting shit and wears a red trench coat. How does not appeal to the US audience? Dante DMC3 design was perfect and he look great in DMC4 as well. Don't fix something that is not broken.

I Agree, but I still find this new entry interesting, I don't think they're abandoning the old design at all.
