So is this thread about the movie only, or can we talk about anything Watchmen related?

What are your opinion on this "Before Watchmen" project?

Im mixed on it. Alan Moore hates it. But he's an elitist now. Thinks he's God's gift to comics. Sorry, Kirby alredy has the title of Comic Book God. I might pick up some issues, see if it's worthwhile. Id like to see some Nite Owl and Comedian stories.

Moore's just fed up with the industry. He can actually be quite sweet and inspirational at book readings and stuff.

I will read the Rorshach issues. But the others don't hold my interest enough.

Before Watchmen looks like it might be the Terminator 3 of the Watchmen series. I don't think the new comics are going to turn out very good at all. I bet you that they will end up doing a movie out of the Before Watchmen comics soon.

So I watched Watchmen The Ultimate Cut. With extended scenes, delete scenes and The Black Freighter edited into the movie. I dug it MUCH more then the original theatrical. I still find The Black Freighter boring and the plot is a bit shallow and predicable.

Watching this time I found myself more drawn to The Comedian - finding his character tragic in the end.

I prefer the director's cut. It has everything except for the stupid Black Freighter film.

Sometime I still have to track down the Ultimate Cut. The director's cut is the one I've been watching.
