While it's not JP4. It appears that a new (prequel?) film is being made by an independent film company.

There is nothing on the site so far other then the logo, COMING SOON, and facebook links: http://jporigins.com/

On the bright side, we could get T-rex vs Spinosaurus the way we want it! :)

agreed. Stan Winston was a great man. But the crew behind Origins are apparetly big fans of Stan as well.

Also, here are some more pics, although, they don't have the "Origins" logo stamp. They are all taken from the SPX guys DA page. But he also has a website with them featured.

So... what are they gonna do? Show them creating the park? That's kinda lame.

Most likely it'll show the dinosaurs before they died out, and how they are raised after cloning.

These picks look all kind of fake. Are they concept or part of the movie? Also, I'll wait for the real movie makers to do the movie, because it said that this was a short film and all the picks have Deviant Art logos on them. Sounds like fake to me.

It is a short film. If you want to follow production on it, like them on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JPOrigins

The images are not from the film itself, they are just production stills to show us what the film will look like. But the 3D models are real. And I already pointed out that I took the pics off of the SPFX artists DA page. There is alot more images, take a look if you want. http://giu3232.deviantart.com/

Also, this image was just released on the FB page. Idk if they have a deal with Prius or if it was just done for shits-n-giggles, but the car does look cool.

Image

And even cooler. This was posted on the facebook page on April 5th.

Awesome news guys and girls
My friend Matt Winston agrees to make a cameo on JPOrigins
He is a very good professionnal actor, owner and creator of the Stan Winston School of Character Art and son of Stan Winston.

I am looking into this real hard, and look at what I uncovered!

This is looking pretty cool. Although, I don't know what is up with the CG Stan and Steve.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECSvgENn ... e=youtu.be

EDIT: I found on the FB, that the CGI Steven Speilburg is NOT going to be in the film. It was just a test from the SPFX crew.

So is it going to be like that unofficial Jurassic Park: Prime Survival movie? I can't say I care much for the unofficial stuff, but I'll check it out.

Meh. I have very little hope for this. These sort of fan films rather never get made or end up being rather bad. I mean, this just screams Godzilla Zero Hour to me.

This does look cool, but I have feeling it won't be made. I see a lot of fan projects that get things hype up but they never happen. This tends to happen with a lot of Dragon Ball fan projects like Dragon Ball Absalon and PVG's DBAF series for example.

Lol, its like they were bitter enough about the T-rex vs Spino fight that they decided to make a whole movie to 'rectify' it.

The website has been updated this morning. Revealing alot of more info!

http://www.jporigins.com/

Plot details.
JP:Origins will explore some of the themes and story elements that are heavily emphasized in the novels. The film will focus on the development of the science and technology behind the dinosaur cloning, the moral and ethical consequences of the characters' actions, and the overarching theme of the illusion of control and that "life will find a way". We want to get to know the characters behind Jurassic Park, and we want to take a look at what it would be like to bring back animals from a time long past that we know little about. We want to make sure this isn't just a "Monster Mayhem" type movie, and instead will focus on character development and a strong plot.

They have also started a donation page, with cool rewards for donating! ($1 gets your name in the credits of the movie!)

Donate here.
http://www.jporigins.com/backthisproject/

I myself will be donating $30 once I get paid. Which gets you a BD copy of the film, and your name in the credits.
