Good.

If this Mummy thing goes through I hope they stay away from the pseudo-Ray Harryhausen action/adventure fantasy bullcrap.

Oh and because it's topical

This. Not so soon, at any rate. In another decade or so, sure, but not now. That said, whenever this is made, it should be more of a dark, 'horror' kind of movie than the '99 one was. The '99 one was great, one of my top twenty-ish movies, but we don't need a remake of it. Let's see something different this time.

They should remake The Mummy. The original horror movie, not the fun action movie. Even if they do they probably won't get it right though.

So... we have The Mummy from the '90, wich was a remake of the movie of the same name from the '30; said remake got a sequel, The Mummy Returns, wich introduced the character called Scorpion King; said character got a spin-off movie, starring The Rock, callled The Scorpion King; said spin-off got a prequel, albeit one called The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior...

So... we have this movie, wich is a prequel, of a spin-off, of a sequel, of a remake?

This movie, "The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior", should have been the one to get a reebot, just to have the whole package.

Seeing how the third movie fared, a reboot isn't surprising. If it's taken a more horror direction, then it might be as good as the 2008 movie.

Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard, Total Recall '012) is directing the reboot.

So...action movie. Great. Can't have the icons of horror be in a proper horror movie these days.

Yup. All possible interest in reboot lost. This is gonna tank.
