He was the same plank of wood in that as he was in Planet of the Apes (2001). Everyone else in that movie out-shined him.

The ONLY other Mark Wahlberg movie is remotely 'good' is Max Payne.

...Boogie Nights, The Fighter and The Departed had great performances from Mark Wahlberg. He fits with the characters that were given to him. That's really all you can ever ask for from actors.

Im sorry, for someone who claims some sorta expertise or critical taste in film GxG, you should recognize Wahlberg as a method actor. He's the same in every movie he's in. Like David Caruso & George Clooney. But while Caruso and Clooney are hamfisted when portraying real deep painful anguish-y emotions, Wahlberg is a piece of wood trying to act like a 12 year old boy reading an adult script..

I never said he wasn't the same in every movie. That doesn't mean he can't give a good performance, since he obviously has done some good acting in films like Boogie Nights and The Fighter.

He uses his naivety to his advantage in those films, because those characters are very childish and inexperienced. His style of acting fits for the character he was given. That's why he was able to give a good performance in those films.

Mama always said, "Good acting is as good acting does."

Bradd Pitt rocks in 12 Monkeys, and sucked a long hard one in Troy. In one film, he's a good actor. In another film, he's not.

I get them. In fact it's the only pat of Seth McFarlane's humor I do enjoy. I haven't watched Family Guy or any of his other shows since FG returned (save the Star Wars Trilogy)

No I wont be seeing this film. Also I shudder to think what he's doing with the Flinstones return next year.

The movie was crap -Wahlberg butchered the song from Transformers:The Movie.

Boogie Nights was more about Burt and Julianna Moore then Mark. Mark was just the cute baby-face cock-stallion. He couldve been replaced by anyone - like Matt Damon or Leo and it wouldnt have mattered.

Who cares who the movie was more about? Either way, Marky Mark still gave a damn good performance. Also if the role was played by Matt Damon or any one else, I don't think that character would have been the same. Mark fit the role perfectly.

ALL of his comedies are the same.

Sex Jokes, racial slurs, sex jokes, physical humor, sex jokes...

So basically you're saying using subjects almost EVERY comedian uses in their routines is a bad thing?

:/

I never realized Seth McFarlane was the only person to make skreeonk' sex jokes.

Seth McFarlane's become predictable. And he beats a dead horse rather well.

That's his problem.

I don't think the problem is that we watch too much Seth McFarlane, but that there is just too much of Seth McFarlane in existence. Seven Seasons of American Dad!, Four seasons of The Cleveland Show and Ten seasons of Family Guy on channels like Cartoon Network, Fox, TBS, etc. Even if you don't like Seth McFarlane's work (which I don't anymore), he's still everywhere.

You can try to avoid him, but you'll still run into one of his shows while you're channel surfacing one night.

Also, I don't pirate anything, nor do I own any DVDs of his work. I only like to own copies of movies/tv shows that I actually enjoy.

I'll admit, I have a huge crush on Mila Kunis, especially after her role in Black Swan. But, from what I can tell from the trailer, having her present doesn't make the film any better.

Like I said in my first post: No amount of Mila Kunis's ass will get me to go see this.
