Well then don't imply anything. Because then you're just taking my words as something entirely different than what I was saying. Seriously, why even do that, other than to be a jerk?

Implying is something you would be doing here, not me.

Also, what the skreeonk do you think people will get from "I feel sorry for people who find this funny."

I feel sorry for you and your "condition."

Pick up anything implied there? Well, you shouldnt cuz I didnt outright say it.

See? That's what you're doing here. You're putting something out that you apparently dont mean, so you kinda set yourself up.

Where in that statement did it look like I was using my opinion as a fact? All of that was my own opinion. I believe that all the shows I stated were, in my opinion, better than Family Guy. And, also in my opinion, I feel sorry for people who watch Family Guy, when they could be watching much better comedy shows. This is all that I was saying with that statement, and as I pointed out, none of that I've said as a fact.

I was going to properly reply to this but then realized it would just spiral into an "opinions vs facts" debate, so lets not go there.

I'll just say that you make it sound like all those shows are just inherently better.

...I wasn't. I was only speaking for myself.

See above. Also, there are those ellipses again.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, time out...

...Constantly? What the hell are you even talking about? I do not constantly badger people for finding the show funny. Hell, I don't badger people at all. You don't see me saying anything hateful or mean-spirited to people who say that they like the show. The only thing I've said is that I don't like Family Guy and that I feel sorry for those who find shows like that funny, because there are better shows out there that they could be watching. That's not badgering, and it certainly isn't constant.

Seriously, get your facts straight.

Oh my God, yes, you skreeonk' do!

You are always the one going into a topic and saying "I dont like family guy. It's trash and I cant believe you guys actually like it." Granted, you are not the only one, but it is what it is.

BTW, this whole "quote and reply to every single sentence" post structure is skreeonk' killin' me.

Except that I can say anything I want about this kind of thing. If I want to say Family Guy sucks, I can do that. This just happens to be a place where I can voice my opinion on something like this.

Also, this statement I made a while back would like to have a word with you:

I wrote:I always welcome other opinions, because everyone has the right to say them. If you like Seth McFarlane's comedy, then good for you, and I mean that. I'm going to disagree with you on his comedy, but I'm not going to put down your opinion just because it differs from my own.

I still stand by that statement.

You can stand by that statement all you want, but that doesnt stop your opinion from being really annoying. You have this tendency to get wrapped up in shit you dont care about because you "cant stand to let it slide because I know it's there" and have admitted this.

And I dunno about any of you guys, but saying you pity people with a different taste in humor REALLY sounds like you're putting them down.

Are you kidding? That was awful. Horrendous. Atrocious. I'd rather have my balls ripped of than listen to that shit again. The fact that that keeps going throughout more than half the episode makes it even worse. It would be alright if it happened once in the episode, but it happens more than six times over the course of the episode. It's like Seth McFarlane is saying, "You will laugh at this! If you didn't find it funny the first time, maybe you'll find it funny the eighteenth time!"

You just dont get it, do you?

It's not supposed to be funny. That's what makes it funny.

it's supposed to be annoying and obnoxious. The characters show clear and total disgust every time it happens, and that is part of the whole joke.

Plus, Surfin' Bird is a catchy song. The whole joke makes me laugh and wanna get up and dance every time I see it.

Sorry if that's lost on you.

Also, what the skreeonk do you think people will get from "I feel sorry for people who find this funny."

That there are better shows out there than Seth McFarlane's shows, and you should be watching those instead. That's all I meant by that. Watch the good shows, avoid the bad ones.

I feel sorry for you and your "condition."

Pick up anything implied there? Well, you shouldnt cuz I didnt outright say it.

See? That's what you're doing here. You're putting something out that you apparently dont mean, so you kinda set yourself up.

Then that's not my fault. That's your fault for over-thinking what I'm saying.

I'll just say that you make it sound like all those shows are just inherently better.

...Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. That's why I say that they're better shows.

Also, there are those ellipses again.

Oh shut up with that already. You know very well I've been doing that for years, and just telling me to stop isn't going to do anything. I see no problem with them, so I'll continue to use them.

You are always the one going into a topic and saying "I dont like family guy. It's trash and I cant believe you guys actually like it." Granted, you are not the only one, but it is what it is.

...*sigh*

Did you ever take the time to notice that everything you said in that is, you know, an opinion? Not only that, but an opinion that lots of people have? This isn't something new I'm saying, so I fail to see how any of that is bad. I'm allowed to give my opinion on any given subject. I never once said that you have to agree with me, and I've never said that my opinion is a fact or better than other people's opinions. As far as I see, I haven't done anything wrong.

BTW, this whole "quote and reply to every single sentence" post structure is skreeonk' killin' me.

Like the ellipses, this is something that you know very well has been going on for years, and isn't going to stop any time soon. Suck it up.

You can stand by that statement all you want, but that doesnt stop your opinion from being really annoying.

I don't see what that has to do with anything. You don't like my opinion? Big deal. Don't read this thread then. My opinion being annoying is neither here nor there. Just because you find my opinion annoying, doesn't mean I can't give my opinion, or that it's any less credible than other people's opinions.

You have this tendency to get wrapped up in shit you dont care about because you "cant stand to let it slide because I know it's there" and have admitted this.

I'm not getting wrapped up in anything. People like you and wataru are the ones getting wrapped up in what I've been saying. All I've done is give my opinion, but then someone else has something to say about my opinion. All I do beyond that is defend my opinion.

And I dunno about any of you guys, but saying you pity people with a different taste in humor REALLY sounds like you're putting them down.

All I meant was that there are much better comedies out there that people could be watching, and that I feel sorry for people who aren't watching those comedies, and instead are watching shows like Family Guy and The Cleveland Show.

No more. No less.

It's not supposed to be funny. That's what makes it funny.

No, that's what makes it annoying and rage-inducing. If something isn't suppose to be funny, then guess what? I'm not going to laugh at it!

it's supposed to be annoying and obnoxious.

Annoying and obnoxious =/= funny

The characters show clear and total disgust every time it happens, and that is part of the whole joke.

...There was a joke? That surprises the heck out of me!

Plus, Surfin' Bird is a catchy song

Yes, and that episode ruined the song for me.

Ok, we're doing that whole "quote every sentence" thing again, and I'm sick of talking to you already, so I'm just gonna close with this:

Family Guy is a good show, and haters gonna hate. :)

So yeah, lookin' forward to Ted.

^^Do you actually rage at a Tv show? I can understand finding it annoying but "rage inducing"? That would be funny it it wasn't so sad.

Television shows can say or do things that put people into a rage, just like everything else. To an aspiring film and television critic, like me, bad and insulting movies and tv shows can be sometimes rage inducing.

The way I see it, I'm just passionate about what I like. And what I like is to see good movies and television. When I see something bad, I'm passionate about showing how and why it's bad. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I'm sick of talking to you already

You're no spring chicken either dude. I'm really getting tired of you being so condescending and just down rude in nearly every single one of your posts.

Family Guy is a good show, and haters gonna hate.

Just saying; it's a really odd choice words.

I feel like there is potential for a Family Guy-styled joke setup here, but I cant quite figure one out.

No, see, you're using the phrase in the wrong context is what I'm saying.

"You're no spring chicken" means "you're not exactly young." How do you not already know this? :|
