I think I'm the only person here who's going to watch Toonami only for TOM...

nope. I loved tom. hated anime though. So I might tune in on occassion for Tom. but if they play Zoids... I might watch that too.

Umm. It's not Toonami without TOM. We wouldn't be getting all excited if this was just a block of new and/or nostalgic shows airing Saturdays at midnight. 'Cause basically that's what it is now.

So while we might not be watching it ONLY for TOM, he is ultimately the reason we'll be watching.

Well Toonami fans...We've won the war, but it seems that we'll have to recover some damaged resources.

Although i must say that I'm glad to hear some interest being placed into Fairytale and One Piece. Admitting here and now, I do not watching any other anime on Adult swim except for Bleach, Big O, and Cowboy Bebop. Everything else is pretty much dull to me.

BUT

More Ratings = More Money.
More Money = Better Anime Shows.

So I'll continue to support you Toonami!

That feeling of yours was correct, well, at least to a degree. But correct none the less.

I had a feeling this would happen in some way, getting Toonami back probably left the pockets of the people behind its revival nearly dry. I'm really aiming at Fairy Tale and One Piece, and....

Well, looks like I'm not the only one excited for that here xD

Still, AS needs money, and as stated, more money means better shows. And like Godzilla 2000 and possibly a few other members here, I'll keep my TV on the channel all day and all night long, even if I'm not looking at the shows. I'm not losing Toonami a second time damnit!

It would be cool to see One Piece back on CN and I guess it will be uncut too since it will be apart of Adult Swim. I knew DBZ won't be coming back given that Nicktoons owns the rights to air anything Dragon Ball related. It would be cool if they 2005-2006 Guyver anime as well since I don't think they ever played it on TV in the US?

Guyver only airs on the funimation channel in the US so it could use a wider broadcast, If Toonami did get guyver and the ratings did well I wish it would get a second season because I hate where they stopped the show.

I actually don't care if Toonami ever airs DBZ ever again. I saw it so many times when I was younger I know what happens in each scene. maybe not line for line, but scene for scene most likely yes.

No really. This time it's not a joke.
This Saturday at Midnight ET/PT, Toonami becomes a true part of Adult Swim.

Cowboy Bebop - With remastered Intro and Ending
Casshern Sins - in HD
Deadman Wonderland - in HD
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - All 5 Intros (mostly) in HD

All the new packaging, custom intros, promos and game reviews will make their way here, of course.
BUT. This time we're doing something different.

Seriously. Don't lazily come to TDA Saturday night or Sunday morning looking for all the cool Toonami bumps and such. They won't be here yet. Go find your TV and watch Toonami yourself. If you're a Nielsen family, watch it twice.
This incarnation of Toonami desperately needs ratings if it's going to thrive.

How well it will do will depend on how aware and support the viewers will be.

Almost all Toonami fans know that the line-up isn't going to be a "Blast from the Past" from the 90's, they are aware of that and are aware that in order to get a better Toonami with better shows then AS will need a lot of ratings. With that in mind, they are going to stay tune all night tonight to give them the ratings they need. They are willing to support and aren't going to let Toonami fail again.

But as I've said before, "almost" all Toonami fans know what's going on. The few that don't are going to be disappointed and will simply change the channel when seeing that its not the Toonami that they wanted. (Which is understandable for those who do not know what's really going on) But as you know, one viewer gone, that's a rating no longer earned. And no rating means no money, and no money means no better shows. Fans are trying to tell fans who aren't interested in the line-up to still leave their TV's on Adult swim and just do something else. AS gets ratings, and we getting a better Toonami.

So overall...I expect Toonami's first day back tonight to be...Decent, but hopefully good. I'll be leaving the Living Room TV on AS all night, along with my own TV, and my friends plan on doing the same. Gotta show support!
