Those who have had a childhood during the late 90s will definitely remember Toonami, the awesome programming block on Cartoon Network that aired such shows like Voltron, Robotech, Ronin Warriors, Tenchi Muyo!, and of course, Dragon Ball Z. One could argue that Toonami was the main catalyst that gave popularity to Japanese anime into American shores. Well, it looks like it might be coming back.
Adult Swim recently tweeted their followers this:

Want it back? Let us know. #BringBackToonami
If you tuned into Cartoon Network this past Sunday, you might have been able to catch the return of Toonami, as they aired Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Trigun and other favorites for an April Fool's special marathon (Steve Blum even returned to voice Toonami mascot T.O.M., pictured above). Well, that marathon did exceptionally well, and now it looks like Adult Swim is considering bringing it back.

Oh yes, "The Intruder". And the viewers got to vote on the new engine that his ship gets.

Hellspawn28 wrote:People seem that they want DBZ back so badly as well.? Why when you have the DVD's uncut and you can watch them with great subs for once as well. Until April 1st 2012, CN never played DBZ since 2005 when the Ultimate Uncut run came to a end.
