They said it right on the episodes, Air bending is most opposite her personality

Avatar: TLA is one of the very recent Cartoons that I watch and enjoy. I haven't seen the whole series but this show does look good. I'm glad that I never saw the movie since I've hear nothing but bad things about that movie.

The movie was just beyond awful - at least it's forgettable though (heck there are times that I have to remind myself that the live action movie exists).

The series is FAR better in comparison and the characters are much more likable and well developed. I am currently re-watching the series from the start. Book 1 seems to mainly develop the core characters while Book 2 and Book 3 dive more into the actual story and history of the Avatar.

I saw the show up to half of the second season. I didn't see it until over a year ago seeing that the show came out in 2005 or 2006, by then that I stop watching CN, Disney Channel and Nick seeing that I was in High School. My little sister was already a fan for the past few years and let me watch the DVD's. Not a huge fan, but I do like the animation.

I didn't watch the leaked episodes, but caught the premiere this morning. A very solid, enjoyable start. I have to say, I originally wasn't excited about this show. I didn't think new characters and the steampunk urban setting would be able to keep that old-school Avatar feel, but I'm very glad to have been proven wrong. This may be a fresh new take on the franchise, but it definitely feels like the same world.

I'm not going to bother with my usual pros/cons style reviews yet; I'll wait and see what the show's like as it progresses before I start judging.

Kept forgetting about this show, but I finally caught the last 20 minutes of an episode (the eps are an hour long, apparently?) earlier. I don't even know what episode it was or how many I've missed, but it was fun.

^ This morning was the show's premiere, so they aired the first two episodes together. It'll be half-hour episodes from here on out, barring the occasional special event two-parter or whatever.

Next Saturday.

I'm watching the first two right now for the first time, and I'm very impressed so far. I absolutely LOVE Republic City. It's so 1920s Shanghai.

Saw the first two episodes when they were leaked online and it was a pretty fun start. I especially love the more modern look of the show.

Anyone else felt bad for Bolin?

Yeah but this kinda of thing happens all the time in movies, cartoons and books Bolin should have saw it coming. The only person that excepted his fate was Ron in the harry potter series.

OK, wow. That was a great episode, but I'm a bit bummed about the fire ferrets not winning. Korra made up for it though when she went after the Equalists, she was pretty awesome out there 8-)

Korra's team didn't win due to Amon was going to take the bending away from the winners of the championship AKA plot reasons.

Also Amon makes me feel like if he went up against Aang back in the day on the fire nation side the fire nation might have won the War he is now my favorite Avatar villain taking the spot from Azula.
