Agreed. It's a cool trailer but, shows way too many "spoileriffic images". I'm trying to forget about the trailer before the film comes out. ;)

Are you guys kidding? I have no idea what this thing is about. They throw all that crap at you, yeah, but good luck tying it all together.

Between curiosity and the surprisingly good reviews, SOOOOO seeing this.

Just saw this. BEST HORROR MOVIE IN YEARS! Funny, smart, scary, and creative! It pretty much destroys all horror movie cliches. Don't let anyone spoil it for you!

Ok now I really want to see this. Out of curiosity from a Evil Dead fan, are there any other references to the trilogy beyond the cellar door and usual cabin kids.

I wanted to like it but the way it tries to be clever came off as really annoying to me. Plus all the bad CG.

There are a LOT of references to The Evil Dead as well as countless other horror films but, to tell you them would be spoiling the movie.

I really enjoy the movie. The movie was very fun and creative, something a lot of horror films have lack in the past several recent years. I wish it was longer though.

Best werewolf ever. No lie.

Funny how the villains were our so called heroes.

This movie kicks total ass. Seriously, especially for the type of people that frequent this board, they will get a kick out of it. Very creative, very fun, not particularly scary, but a pretty damn entertaining film.

The part when all of the monsters on the lose was awesome. Interestingly this film was shot in 2009 but MGM went down the crapper. So they sold this and the Red Dawn remake to different film companies.

...good reason! I loved this movie. It turns horror conventions upside down. Kind of like Scream...but good. The creature rampage was my favorite part of the film. The ending however was very weak. Its very much a sign of the times that the twp so called heroes let the world burn because they were too cowardly/ selfish to do what needed to be done.

Doesn't that make it a strong ending though? It adds to the commentary. Aintitcool had a very cool little article about the ending and how it really ties into the theme of the film I'll post it here just add to the fun. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/54997

It's sad that the The Three Stooges made more money then this movie. I think it will do better the second week due to the word of mouth.

Yeah the Three Stooges look awful, I refuse to see that movie. People on Facebook and Twitter said Cabin in the Woods was great. Unlike last year's Scream 4 (They seem to release a horror movie in every April) which had mixed word of mouth.

Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. This was insane. Easily one of the craziest, most imaginative films, horror or not, I've seen in a long time. Always kept me guessing, and the giant rampage...THAT RAMPAGE. Was very welcome, 'cause I had literally thought, "man, I wish we could see some of those instead of the zombies guys" when the big betting board was shown. Nice sprinkles of tongue-in-cheek too. I think one of the best parts was how you didn't know who to cheer for by the end. The protagonist who you've watched live and fight for their lives, or the antagonist who are doing a dirty deed for the good of the entire world?

Ya' know, this was almost too big for a movie. I could see this as a TV series or mini-series. Different episodes could show us successful rituals, rituals that go only a bit astray, rituals from the others cultures, show us a different monster for each one, and all while hinting and poking towards the whole ancients thing. The finale would be the crew of the movie of course, with all the creatures from previous rituals showing back up for the climatic massacre.

That would be a cool idea. This movie was so crazy and original. I loved every second of it!
