For those watching the commercials on television closely, you will see that David Fincher is going again for an academy award or a couple via bringing back his crew from THE SOCIAL NETWORK to work on this film - THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATOO. The film is based on a book series which has been dubbed the Millenium Trilogy, which follows two characters - Mikael Blonkvist (who runs an investigative and legally trusted publication called Millenium) and Elizebeth Salander (the eponymous character) as they investigate murders and tackle demons of their own, struggling with what is a subtext of Sweeden's seemingly largely unspoken women abuse issues.
I'll let the fans who are on here talk more of it, I just hope that Fincher's re-adaptation is successful - not only to do the books justice but also... for those fans who know their trivia, Dolph Lundgren (who is Sweedish) was to play an antagonist who has a big part in the Sweedish adaptations of books 2 and 3 of the trilogy and while turning those down, I doubt he'd turn down Fincher if confronted with the chance and the problem he had with the original adaptations aren't an issue here.
