If this WAS a Carnosaur movie, I would fail it instantly for looking as good as it does. Carnosaur is awesome because it's so damn bad.

And technically, it would be 5. The movie RAPTOR was made as a more or less sequel. Making it 4.

I always hate these lost video type films.. It didn't work for Cloverfield, It didn't work for the Blair Witch... at-least with me it didn't..but given the fact that it has Dinosaur's in it i might give it a shot.

RAPTOR is a totally seperate movie using stock footage from Carnosaur 1-3.

I knew about this one for a bit but was awaiting exclusive details from the filmmakers before adding my two cents. My two cents:

This is a cool new cinema verite style horror film about survivors of a plane crash that find out that the plane's crashing was the least of their worries when they discover the island they've crashed on is inhabited by man-eating dinosaurs!! Sounds awesome? What's even more awesome is that it's heading to theaters in a limited run starting on Halloween!!!! I really don't like this style of movie, and I can only hop that this isn't a new trend. I might go see this, but I highly doubt it. Sometimes I just get into a movie theater mood, and if I do, maybe this will get my money. I highly doubt it though.

he is saying virtually EVERYTHING from hollywood mow adays is based on/inspired/stolen from something else. No matter what movie/TV show it is, you can find something that came before it that is similar.

This style of film can make some sick, but those 3d glasses can also cause headaches for some.

The "lost tape" style does add a bit of tensity to the action. Tossing ordinary people into a suddenly dangerous situation with traditional story telling doesn't supply that same feel of urgency or panic.

Troll Hunter is POV and its epic for a foreign low budget film. And the entire Marble Hornets was shot POV.

3D is more annoying then POV.

Not to go off topic, but I was shocked to see Trollhunter on DVD and BRD at my local target. I figured that would've been an online order affair for someone like Target. At best, maybe a Suncoast-like outlet might carry it. It's THE film I've been wanting to see the most that played theatrically in the USA in year; I didn't pick it up because I wanted the Blu-Ray and I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet (but that's coming soon). I did like Cloverfield quite a lot and fanboy it more than I ought to ...

Perhaps if you have a bit of time you could phone all of those sorts of stores within 25 miles or something and see if there carry it. Especially with it being a low-budget film, I like to support the filmmakers for pulling this project off. If they don't carry it anymore by the time I have a BRD player I'll just order it from them online. Either way I literally drooled when I saw it on the stand.
