I love "found footage" movies. Dinosaurs make it even better. It's scheduled for a release on October 31, 2011 (a.k.a. "Halloween," a.k.a. "zilla's birthday"). I'll let the trailer explain the premise:

I don't like being negative about stuff like this, but this does not look promising, for me anyway. I do not like the camera-in-hand stuff. I hope it's good, but I'll have to hear it from somebody else first. Go for it, boys.

I think it looks like it has potential. The characters at the beginning came off as looking a little annoying, but post-plane crash it appeared to be a fun ride. Is that 10/31/11 release date a straight-to-video date? I can't find it on any upcoming theatrical lists anywhere unless I've missed it.

If this WAS a Carnosaur movie, I would fail it instantly for looking as good as it does. Carnosaur is awesome because it's so damn bad.

And technically, it would be 5. The movie RAPTOR was made as a more or less sequel. Making it 4.

RAPTOR is a totally seperate movie using stock footage from Carnosaur 1-3.

I think that's exactly what made them succeed, Those films in normal style would have been boring as hell.
