Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

Postby mecha-gino » Sat Aug 13, 2011 8:22 pm

Yes, I just finished with the first dvd of the series which sadly there isn't a lot of. :( But yeah, just watched it and it's AWESOME! I'm a big fan of random wtf moment animes such as Excel Saga and GOD have I missed this show.

SO awesome with it's randomness and God Bo-bobo is so much fun. It's a real shame Viz only put out 6 of the mangas and it was in random order and only 3 volumes of the series on dvd was released but oh well. There's hope in the future someone else will pick up the right and continue the release of the series.... Funimation maybe? :3

This show is very random, however extremely funny. Reminds me of the Akira Toriyama type humor from Dr.Slump. I too hope that this series will get a proper release by any company, really.

Most random show EVER. But it was so funny it was hard to care about that. The characters who were actually serious made it even more funny.

I thought it was too weird for my tastes.

I loved this show. I watched it only a few times during its run on Cartoon Network though...it didn't seem to last all that long.

Well I learned some awesome news involving the show but first:
@3000: Your Mother.

And onto the main reason of this bump: THE SHOW IS GETTING A PROPER DVD RELEASE AFTER ALL!!! :D Yes, that's right since last month a first season part one set was released and while I don't own it I am overjoyed that it's FINALLY got a release and isn't a lame one disc four episode set. The only down side I'm told about the set is for your weeaboos is that there is NO English subtitles so you can't watch it in Japanese and follow the subs. It's a shame but oh we'll, I'm still glad to see it back and seeing more of it in the future!

This is my favorite anime EVER. And one of the shows that gave inspiration to my Gwangi. I always laugh at the crazy and random stuff that happens every second. It's like watching a Gmod video but anime styled.

Do people really have nostalgia for this show? Didn't this anime didn't come out until 2004 or 2005? I think it's still pretty recent in a US stand point of view and something is often viewed as nostalgic if it's over 10 years old.

I don't think there is a rule involving nostalgia, just as long as it reminds you something from the past that you have fond memories with.

Most people often think so. After all you don't see people having nostalgia for The Last Airbender or Epic Movie? I have no nostalgia for this show since it came out when I was in High School.

Maaaaybe other people think differently and have different views and for all we know some might with those because they're reminded of a fond day or they have different wave lengths and thoughts on those movies. ;)

I have Nostalgia for The Last Airbender and I was in like 7th or 8th grade, it was a show I would always watch. There really are no set times for when you can start having nostalgia for something.

I was talking about the movie, not the show (You make me feel somewhat old). While I'm not a fan of the anime or manga, but I do admit that the art work is pretty good. The artist has a creative style and I give it credit for that.

^Well like I said, I don't think there is any rule about nostalgia as it's just reminding you of the past and it's usually a good memory.

Oh and I got Bobobo today from the library. <3 I thought they mislabeled it online as it said season one part one but actually it's the complete season part one. Haven't started rewatching it yet, I might tonight but I will be loving it.
