I don't see that because mainly those threequels had problems of their own either studio interference, a totally new director not know what the hell they're doing, or they just have no idea how to do a story. This looks like none of those and looks to be pretty cool but that's just me.

The name itself wreaks of studio interference. Seriously, the title is so bizarre especially when taking into consideration Batman Begins, the film that seems to have been forgotten by the majority of the populace. It literally seems like the studio said, "Hey, Nolan. We realize you wanna do another Batman movie and all, but can you please make it so people can realize that it's related to that last movie that made us a billion dollars? How about we just slap a nice little two on the end of the last title? Oh wait, this is your third movie? Um...We still want The Dark Knight in your title somewhere. Make of it what you will."

Really? Just from a title alone? No, from what I'm told whatever Nolan says goes for WB. They're letting him do his own thing and not interfere with it. But tell me what would you name it? The dark knight returns would be a big nono of the frank miller book ever gets made into a film and calling it the dark knight falls might spoil something.

It wasn't just Ledger's death, "The Dark Knight" was a movie of it's time, it pushed all the right buttons when it comes to a Batman movie and it's current audience. The "realism" (I have come to hate that word so much), the seriousness, the epic feeling (Remember the background music from the trailers), a memorable (Movie-and-TV-wise) Joker with a somehow appealing m.o. and "philosophy"... there were many things; it was the right movie at the right time, I hope it's not too late for this sequel, considering the change in tone "The Avengers" offered.

For everyone freaking out over the poster, here's proof it took about 5 minutes to make in photoshop:

*sigh*

It boggles my mind how many people can't spell ridiculous.

It also boggles my mind how much extra boob definition they editied into the first Catwoman poster.

I agree with Wataru they could have made this movie 10 years after the Dark Knight and made Ann play Batgirl instead, Anne Hathaway is nice looking but she doesn't have the Catwomen look to her.

While I agree that she looks more like Batgirl than Catwomen, I still have a really hard time believing that waturu didn't know Catwomen was involved in this film until about a week ago. The news has been all over the place for months.

The movie doesnt interest me, so I didnt read a single article about it. And I rare came into this thread. And being a casual Batman fan (I like BTAS, Batman Beyond, The Batman and the first 2 Burton fans), I was going by what I saw in pictures and as a casual fan of Batman, I thought "Batgirl". Anne Hathaway is NOT Catwoman and Catwoman being in this film is stupid. Like Venom in Spider-Man 3 and The Phoenix in X-Men 3.

I didn't know "Catwomen" was in this film. I must have been confusing her with Catwoman.

NO! I REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT! She's Batgirl, dagnabbit! JUST LOOK AT HER!

...maybe they didnt want to pay for the rights to Barbara Gordon and they got a package deal on Bane and Selina Kyle.

Christ, why does the ipad default to "Catwomen" every time I type it. So skreeonk annoying.

If Barbara was going to be introduced, I imagine it would have been in one of the earlier films.

Man, Bane has bawlin' taste in jackets. I'd raid his closet if he wouldn't beat me to death with my own jaw bone/he was real.

But I digress. Stoked for this film.

Didn't Two-Face have her at gun point at the end of The Dark Knight just say she heard Batman's speech at the end making himself the bad guy and their you go Batgirl introduced especially considering Batman and her father were more or less friends.

I think the only reason why Anne looks more like Batgirl is because she keeps her hair long and free. Catwoman always kept her hair short and under a hood.

But honestly, it doesn't bother me nearly as much as the atrocious Lizard design for new Spider-Man movie.

She was in the scene too. She was curled up into Gordon's wife through the whole thing, though.

And she was credited as the infant in Gordon's house in Batman Begins also. She was never mentioned by name though.
