Joseph Mazzello (Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and The Social Network) is set to play Mouse.

From what I read that Mouse is a character that did not exist in the TV shows or the comics.

The movie's due out on June 29 next year which, to me, seems impossible considering production hasn't even started yet. Unless Paramount plans on rushing this thing out...which is likely. Oh, and it seems the movie's now being called G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

This movie is going to be a total failure. Just wait for them to reboot this in five or ten years from now.

This movie gonna be great IMO. Many GI joe fans will come and see this release. It would be a nice sequel to the first movie released.

Well, not very scientific, they mainly consisted of whacking a variety of pens with GI Joe swords. The pen always lost.

The trailer has been released:

The trailer was alright and I'm still not sure about this movie. Maybe a second trailer will change my mind about the film.

I thought it was pretty fun. I didnt see the original, but there are some cool set peices in there. Is this really a sequel at all? I didnt see alot of the characters from the original coming back.

^It is a sequel, most cast members did not return to work on other projects. Stephen Sommers was replace by John M. Chu, who directed Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011). Channing Tatum and Ray Park are the only actors that return, I just hope this movie won't be like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) all over again.

Really dug the trailer, I hope it's half as wild as it looks.

@G-rex: In addition to the actors Hellspawn listed, Byung Hun-Lee, Arnold Vosloo, and Johnathan Pryce all returned as well. The character of Cobra Commander is back as well, but he has been replaced by a different actor.

I'm only watching this for Snake Eyes.

...this IS a sequel, right? Because I definitely see Storm Shadow, even though he clearly died in the previous movie.

It appeared that he died, but unless you see a body, never assume. He might have had the Nanomites in his bloodstream, like most of Cobra's soldiers, explaining how he survived Snake Eyes' final blow and maybe even his plummet into icey waters.

Hell, throughout the comics Storm-Shadow pulled off faking his death by consciously slowing his respiration, heartbeat, and other functions to appear dead. Also, I wouldn't be surprised that in Retaliation he mentions that he used some ninja trick to twist his body just right so to avoid the Silent-Master's/Snake-Eyes' blade from perforating any organs. Or maybe Snake-Eyes missed delivering a mortal blow on purpose.

The Rock. Bruce Willis. Action. This movie will be the best movie of 2012. And that's the bottom line!

I counter with Expendables Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, and CHUCK-FRIGGIN-NORRIS. :P

CHUCK-FRIGGIN-NORRIS.

You mean the man who wouldn't be in The Expendables 2 unless Stallone and gang toned down the violence from the first film to make this one PG-13? Yeah, that's something to get excited about.

And yeah, this movie looks 100x better than The Rise of Cobra. Seriously. It's like the Fast Five engaged in heated, passionate sex with G.I. Joe to make a heaping pile of pretty awesome.

So does Willis just play himself in this or what? And I hate the self aware line the faux president has about Cobra Commander's new mask.
