It seems like Fox is moving forward with a sequel since the movie is now the 8th highest highest grossing movie of the year and has earn a fresh rating on RT unlike the past two movies.

They did said they want to make into a trilogy, I think they will find ways that will lead up into the first movie.

As long as its better than it's sub-par predecessor, I'll give it a look.

I hope to see Cyclops, Jean and Storm in the sequel. I hope they will retcon the whole young X-men sub plot from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).

I cant say Im looking forward to this..

They dumped the entire feel of the X-Men for this film for a period piece. I found Mageto impotent and wanting, most of the X-Men really REALLY shallow and Bacon's performance, while good, totally wrong for the character of Sebastian Shaw.

The movie skreeonk the canon of the first three films, which this movie is continuing to ride on the coat-tails of.

After much reflection, Id rather was X-Men Origins: Wolverine over X-Men First Class.

Shouldn't they call this "X-Men: Second Class"?

I for one, do NOT want to sequel unless they deal with Scott Summers and the gang. After that, just end it and go back to making X-men 4 rise of the apocalypse and end the series there.

God, something about this post just totally made my day. I'd post about it in the thread dedicated to things that made your day, but I feel like talking about it here is enough.

Longest spam post ever? Perhaps.

Oh, and I like the sound of X-Men First Class 2: Even More Puberty!

Vaughn will return for the sequel.

Great news, he did a great job on the first one and hope he will direct one more after the second movie. Just hope we will never see another X3 moment happening again in the series.

It'd be hilarious if he directs this one then drops out of the third film and they get John Moore to direct it.

Well, it's not really that funny unless you know the history of the Last Stand. Eh, forget I said anything.
