Have a movie you think should be remade? discuss it here!

-The Birds
-The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
-Creature from the Black Lagoon
-JAWS
Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

Disagree. Jaws is perfect the way it is. However Beast from 20,000 fathoms would be nice. THEM! too.

On topic:

Transformers (I like Bay's movies, but it would be interesting to see how other directors would do it)

Thats really all I can think of at the moment. I'll edit this if i can come up with more.

Don't get me wrong, Jaws is one of my all time favorites. I just feel it could use a face lift with all the CGI and wider range of the horror/shock value genre we have now.

As long as they dont go over-the-top with the gore and CG then maybe. But as of now, Jaws is a masterpeice.

Jaws should never ever be remade. Ever. Period.

Still haven't seen The Birds, but I'm doubtful that it's ever a good idea to remake a Hitchcock film.

The other two, I'll agree with and will add The Last Dinosaur too. That's a film with a great premise that wound up... uhh, yeah.

That's why movies like Jaws and The Birds should not be remake, they are classics and should be left alone. How you like it if they remake Nosferatu (1922) and turn into a over the top gore flick to target the teenage movie goers? It seems like Hollywood are already remaking movies are not even that old such Total Recall (1990) and The Crow (1994). I'm pretty sure that they are going to remake Deep Impact(1998) or American Psycho (2000) next.

I already made this thread BTW.

Jaws is one of those films much like the Godfather... It just shouldn't be remade an even if they did remake it, there's no chance it will surpass the original.

''Creature from the black lagoon'' i agree, ''Swamp thing'' would be another, ''Gorgo'' i wouldn't mind if it was remade.....

But films id love to see made are ''MEG'' an ''Dino-riders'' but chances of that are rather slim to none.

Can't really think of any remakes id actually want to happen off the top of my head.

Gorgo would be interesting to see, and maybe Creature From The Black Lagoon. But I agree with most of you; JAWS and The Birds should be left untouched, especially JAWS. That was and will always be one of the greatest movies of all time. Star Wars, which is also one of the best, has been raped with all the shit they did to it. I could'nt bear that happening to JAWS.

I know one thing that CAN'T EVER BE REMADE: Back to the Future.
Anyway.. I guess if I really though anything needed a remake it would be "Nicholas and Alexandra" if any of you know what that is.

I don't think there's any possible way they could make "Back to the Future" any better than it is. It's just a cool movie. I've never heard of "Nicholas and Alexandra" before though. It sounds like it could use a remake... :P

It was made in the 60s or 70s, telling the story of the Russian revolution through the Romanov family's point of view, starting with the birth of Alexei Romanov.

1971. It's based on the historical/biography of Nicholas and Alexandria Romanov by Robert K. Massie. I have it and have read the rather large book.

I think with such royal movies like The King's Speech and The Queen, it would be a GREAT time to remake this film.

I said it before, but I would love to see a creature from the black lagoon remake but keep this image in mind for it's update as I find it both perfect and would be scary to others.

Dont expect that to ever happen. The movies made a SHITLOAD of money and a larger shitload off merch and licensing (comics, clothes, food, etc etc).

Youll see an Episode VII, VIII and VIII before a remake of any SW film.

I already don't like how they remaking Fright Night (1986) and the remake looks like it won't have the same charm and fun that the original movie had. I saw the trailer for the remake when I saw Green Lantern and it looks pretty boring.

I would like to see B movies get remade and done better like Humanoids from the Deep (1980). Humanoids from the Deep done in similar style of Piranha 3D (2010) would be cool.
