^Indeed. wrapping up ANYTHING with Gurren Lagann= BEST THING EVER. Nothing can compare to it's awesomness...

...though the Fan-made Touhou vids come really, REALLY close to toppling it over. This one in particular is really well made, and all the voices were done by ONE WOMAN.

Almost done with my Evangelion marathon. It holds up rather well despite budget issues, but I'm truly amazed this is what some people consider a masterpiece.

I'm going to make a point of watching Rideback through this week. I've had this show for a while, but just haven't had time to get around to it.

So I've been watching One Piece on Funimation's streaming site. It's actually pretty good. I wish more people would give it a chance, especially since 4Kids lost the license a long time ago.

I'm just not pleased that they skipped a massive chunk of episodes, at least on the site. Looks like I'll be watching subs for a while.

I just got tired of it. I stuck with the manga more then the anime. I like the manga artwork better (Im also the same with Dragon Ball Z ((before Kai)), Shaman King, FMA and Naruto). After awhile, it IMHO just got TOO complicated and I couldnt follow the characters. I stopped reading the manga right before Chopper.

Eh, I'm enjoying it. I generally don't find a large cast to be a bad thing, necessarily.

Sometimes large casts work. I love all the Dragon Ball-Z-GT characters. But to me One Piece just jumped the shark with the excessive amount of overly cartoony characters. Are they even looking for the One Piece anymore?

It's not about an active search, Luffy is confident he'll find it whether he tries or not.
It's about all the adventures along the way

They were never actively searching for it.

I'm gonna go with this.

I'm only up to episode 10 right now.

I do remember quite a ways into the old 4kids dub, though. I believe I fell out of touch with the series during the Alabasta arc. That sounds about right.

The Enies Lobby arc is my favorite one. Not necessarily for the Luffy vs Lucci fight, but for all the craziness going on in that arc. Only the Strawhats would dare attack a Navy Stronghold with a ragtag bunch they threw together in a few hours.

Have fun with One Piece, it's not gold by any standards, but it's loads of fun. If craziness and over the top fighting and characters are your thing.

Well, you are talking to a massive Dragon Ball fan here, so I'm not worried about not liking it.

I've already noticed the incredibly infectious idealism Luffy exudes.

Hopefully my local public library will be getting the first several of volumes of the manga soon. I just hope I don't have to put them on hold like I did the first five Naruto volumes...

An Aquarion sequel exists, called Aquarion EVOL.

I don't know how to feel about this. Been a long time since I watched original Aquarion, I am told the sequel is pretty damn good though. Imageboards seem to like it.

Well on an anime related note I just saw this weird anime called Polar Bear Cafe. It was literally about a polar bear running a cafe with a penguin and a panda who's unemployed wanting a job.

Yamato 2199 which is the remake of the original Space Battleship Yamato, or Star Blazers as it is known in the United States- premiered this past week in Japan. The 1st episode is easily available to stream through a simple Google search, however if you want to PM me, I can send a link out. I am biased because the original is one of my favorite Anime series of all time, but I have to say this series looks incredible! The ship designs are basically the same as the original, but they move much more fluidly, and in CG/cell shaded they look great. The character designs are improved, but still faithful to the originals so they are easily recognizable. Also since the story is being told in hindsight, little details can be added that were inconcievable in the original series. I give this series my most enthusiastic endorsement for anyone who enjoys space opera anime series. With so many lackluster titles appealing mostly to younger audiances, and comedy mindsets, it is nice to have a serious sci-fi epic again!

It seems like a new Devilman manga called "Devilman Grimoire" that just started in Japan. It's good to see Devilman coming back since the last Devilman related media that we saw was in 2004 with a god awful live action film.

Well I thought I would give this topic a bump since it's been down a little while. The anime I have been watching now are Bleach,Deadman Wonderland,Cashern Sins. Waiting for Person 4 the Animation to get localized and considering buying Panty and Stocking just waiting for the price to come down.
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.
