Should I watch GaoGaiGar in subs or the dub version? I only seen the first few episodes in subs, and they where pretty cool.

Finally finished all the episodes of Inuyasha, even the Final Act ones... and must I say, it was a truly awsome anime... I cannot wait for the Final Act episodes to be dubbed...

Still struggling to find Revolutionary Girl Utena vids... I managed to find episode one, and that was quite good, but I can't find the rest...

It's the future - the miraculous wonders of the time are thanks to the Shizuma Drive, a clean renewable source of energy. The world is in constant danger of being taken over by the Big Fire Organization which seeks world dominination through strength, cunning and power. To battle these evil doers we have the ESPers and The Big 10. They have at their beckon call Daisaku Kuzama, who pilots the world's most powerful robot - Giant Robo!

A plot is unhatched by Big Fire, to use 3 special Shizuma drives to take over the world. The plot is suggested by Kome, a member of Big Fire, along with Emmanuel Vogler, using an alias. These drives pilot The Eye of Volger, which can shut down all Shizuma drives in a large area if 2 are used, the entire world if all three are used. They test this in France. Dr Shizuma has one drive and escapes Big Fire, to be saved by Giant Robo!

The ESPers gather to find these drives and stop the eye. Two of these drives can pilot the Eye so it begins its march across the globe by to Bashtarle (sp?) to use all three drives (which the ESPers have one and Big 10 has 2) to shut down EVERY Shizuma drive on the planet.

Along the way, Giant Robo is defeated and we find out his power source is nuclear - a fear of the world, so he is locked away to avoid any danger. Diazuku using him as a tool, and not as a partner broke Giant Robo's spirit allowing him to be defeated. Also, along the way we find out Emmanual Vogler is the son of the one of the scientists who crated the Shizuma drive. The drive is not perfect, it creates a build up in the atmosphere of gases that when reach a critical point will destroy the atmosphere, killing every living thing. (this isnt explained til the final aired episode). The four scientists who invented the Shizuma drive, 3 are for using it as imperfect, Vogler says no and tries to stop them and destroy their work - eliminating the unsafe drive system. An accident occurs sealing him in Bashtarle. His son, Emmanual (and daughter Genrei) are ESPers that can teleport, so his son stays with him as Genrei teleports away with Professor Go (who becomes an ESPer later).

Vogler sees the Shizuma drive years later as Emmanual brings it to him and devotes the rest of his life to inventing a way to fix the imperfection. He locks himself away and finally lets Emmanual into the lab to die in his arms with the 3 unknown Shizuma drives waiting for him.

Emmanual wants to use these drives for revenge on the world for disgracing his father. Hence the plot of the story. Professor Vogler only wanted to use the drives to reset the Shizuma drives to make them safe. This is explained in the final aired episode.

In the unaired episode, Kome was using Emmanual to take over Big Fire and the world. He has replaced the head of Big Fire with the leader of the Big Fire's 9 lords daughter, Sunni, so he can lead unquestioned as Sunni is hypnotized. The ESPers along with Big Fire move together to stop Kome and engaged the Big Fire super roberts Neptune and Radon.....its all sorta a cliff hanger.

Either way you want. Fun fact about Gai's voice actor: It's the same guy that voiced Shiro Amonda in 08th MS Team AND the N64/SSBM version of adult Link! Yes, Legend of Zelda Link. So to a small extent he's got the power of the Triforce on his side. :P

Nice plot summary, Wataru. Shame I already knew all of it from watching the series, and it doesn't help the show make any more sense. My problem comes from the stupid, random-ass powers that the characters have that are given absolutely NO explanation.

Greetings,

also to add to AH's comment about GGG. I own the entire series on DVD. While the English dub is pretty good, for some reason it was only done for the first half of the series (Something about a cut in budget because Media Blasters was putting all their resources into the Voltron DVD restoration). But at anyrate, you wont find the latter episodes dubbed anywhere because they dont exist. But dont let that deter you, GGG is a fun series that combines both Transformers & Super Robot themes into ONE! I just wish GGG Final would have got a R1 DVD release, but I know they are all available to view on-line as well.

The problem with Giant Robo wasn't the over the top humans, it was the lack of action, especially robot fighting. Not to mention every enemy robot except maybe GR2 acted like cannon fodder memories from Big O or kyoshin from Neo Ranga.

You fail sir.

Uranus, Neptune (shown at the end of episode 5 I believe & unaired final episode, YAY! for friends in high places), Eye of Vogler - all gave GR1 problems.

Yeah, thirty seconds each. :?

Valgor's Eye I intentionally left out of that. And what's this about an "unaired episode"?

Ah, anime and manga. My time off of TK has lead me to the outskirts of 4chan, to the /a/, anime-manga section, of the site. Beyond all the 'LOL BLEACH TROLLIN' and the Big Shonan Jump 3 over hyping, very rare talks of GOOD anime show up...
My list basicly comprises of this.

Manga:
High School of the Dead: Not for the weak of heart, but this series is damn good. Not just for the mindless T&A shots, but for the character developement. Also great if you like cameos, Shaun from Shaun of the dead is in one issue, running a store, looking extremely bored.

Cage of Eden: A similar plot like that of HSotD, but this one has a plane crash landing on a mysterious island, and encountering Prehistoric Beast. It's pretty much filled with T&A shots, but then again, all that aren't sword swinging I'm behind you now ones and moe-blob and LOLRANDUM ones are.

Dinosaur Girl: A kid, who is afraid of girls, is stuck in a woman's boxing club, and is romanticly sought after by almost all the female leads. Pretty much a ecchi/hentai one, but always good for a laugh. One of the girls is so obsessed, she tries to win his love by flashing her panties with 'INTENSE LOVE' written on them.

Shin Tenchi Muyo - All New Tenchi Muyo: Continueing from the OVA's of the, what I think, is one of the best series, these non-cannon mangas give Tenchi some great adventures. Minagi, Ryoko's sister/clone/daughter is a wonderful character, as is Dark Washu. Plus, some of the stories are down right hilarious. Tsunami takes away Ryoko's ability to cancel out hang overs, just when a Sake contest is in town, and the Misaki Shrine needs money.

Sailor Moon: Call me a pansy, call me what ever you like. The manga of Sailor Moon is down right CLASSIC. Not to perverted. Not to gorey. Not to complicated. A perfect manga in every way. The artwork's to die for as well.

Animes:
Magical Pokan: A pretty cute/hilarious anime that deserves a second season. A witch, an android, a vampire and a werewolf, all princesses of the 'dark world' come to live in the human world. No real plot. Just good fun. Many consider it to be the one of the only shows that can't be considered moe-blob because it started way, way before then.

Outlaw star: What can I say about this classic? It's manga and anime are both WONDERFUL. The characters are great, plots awesome. Plus, the old fan-manga where it crossed over with Tenchi is a riot. Mihoshi tries to fix the android girl by jamming a wrench into her spine. Defenitly watch this series, great for nostalgic reasons as well, as it was airred on Toonami when MOLTAR still hosted it.

Yu Yu Hakisho: Another 'survivor' of the late 90's before anime and manga became all troll filled and BIG 3. I really enjoyed this series as well, but much of it's cast is male, so if you're in it for the chicks, look somewhere else. Also, the creator of this married Sailor Moon's creator. I think that's pretty epic.

Sailor Moon: ONCE AGAIN, an anime that has survived the test of time, even after the rapeing DiC gave it. Thank god we didn't get SABAN moon... But anyways, 200 episodes is a great length for this kind of show, plus, the characters are given more flare. And for an extra bonus, the show was popular enough to come back with a 40+ episode series of Live Action. Pretty well done too.

Azumanga Daioh: The very START of the moe-blob invasion is the best. A vastly entertaining show that knew how to do the 'SLICE OF LIFE' thing right. Defenitly recommended.

Tenchi Muyo: All of the series, Tenchi Muyo!!, Tenchi Muyo! RYO-OHKI!, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Tenchi GXP, and Pretty Sammy, all very entertaining to watch, even if you're just in it for the girls. Skip Sasami's Cooking Club though. Horrible. Simply Horrible. The three movies and radio drama series are also very well done as well.

Cowboy bebop: Remember the time Lupin the III grew an afro and became a bounty hunter? And he went into space? That sums up Cow Boy Bebop pretty damn well. Infact, if they ever make a cross over with Lupin, it'd be the best damn thing EVER. But the series ends on a downer, so be careful...

Love Hina: Despite having a bad rap, this show's basicly, Tenchi in a new body. It's enjoyable, as is the manga. So, if you can stomach it, watch it.

Rozen Maidens: Another 'cute' anime that can be damn serious at times. I recomend it, but eh.

Nadesico: Ah, one that James T. Goji started streaming. I admit, I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. I recommend it if you enjoy space dramas/comedies.

Lupin the III: MOTHER. FVCKIN. LUPIN. CLASSIC. TIMELESS. IT'S STILL AROUND TODAY EVER SINCE IT FIRST MADE IT'S WAY ONTO TV'S IN THE EARLY 60'S! Lupin's one of the few Anime Characters that America reconizes that isn't Goku, InuYasha or Ichigo. The movies are hit and miss, but the classic series is HILARIOUS.

Irresponsible Captain Tylor: Another that James T. Goji introduced to me. The captain, Tylor, is a total moron, but is probably the smartest person ever. You can't tell with him, he's just happy to be alive and surrounded by friends. A great series.

Patalabor: Another one introduced to me by James T. Goji. Pretty much it's Code Geass with out being to... futuristic. It's enjoyable. Maincharacters are wonderful too.

InuYasha: I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I recommend it, since it's pretty entertaining, but the chemistry of certain characters, Sesshoumaru and Kagura, for one, is very interesting.

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari: The newest Tenchi series, based on his brother in law. I kid you not. I have seen the first episode, and basicly, it's dark elves vs Mechs. And it has all the perverted humor of the original tenchi, plus some interesting cameos.

Dirty Pair: All I can say is...Nice. Anime, about lesbian space police. Plus, funny at times.

Ultraman Graffiti: Hard to find, yes. Funny? DOWN RIGHT FRIGGIN HILARIOUS! One of the opening shots is Ultraman taking an Ultra-Poop!
