Basically, that's why Fantastic Four got made back in 94' by Constantine and Roger Corman. Likewise, Fox/Constantine were so gung-ho to get their take done when they did.

Heh, that would be funny if Disney did offer a billion to sony. Reason I say this is how disney bought everything paramount including arguably Marvel's second most popular superhero. I say if Disney were to buy Spidey, have the mouse contact raimi and continue his original idea with no interruptions or people forcing him to do things he doesn't want to do.

Or what could be kind of cooler is make it so the reboot movie is the Ultimate Universe and the Raimi stuff the 616 universe and have a crossover.

Don't count on Spider-Man being in the Marvel movie universe.

Good, I really don't think he would work in the universe they're trying to make anyway plus spider-man I feel should be in his own universe along with the x-men.

FF thought I WANT DISNEY TO BUY! D:<

It's EXTREMELY unlikely Marvel/Disney would try to buy back the film rights to any of the titles they've licensed. Marvel is directly involved in the production of the Spider-Man movies, which are generating a ton of profits so everyone is very happy with the Sony deal. That agreement will likely continue until audience demand for more Spider-Man movies fade.

The contracts would stipulate that new films would have to be made within a set amount of time or the rights would revert back to Marvel. Therefore, Disney can just wait and eventuallylikely get back franchises like Daredevil or Blade or Fantastic Four without having to pay for them.

If Variety is reporting it, something must be rumbling, though. I've heard that these discussions are primarily for the use of Galactus, the Silver Surfer, among others which were a part of the Fantastic Four package. They might be interested in the use of these characters for Guardians of the Galaxy or Avengers 2. I've also heard that if the agreement comes, Fox will keep the rights to both Daredevil and Fantastic Four, Disney would just get the characters they were interested in.

I really dont care if the do or dont. The Spider-Man and X-Men franchise prove Marvel/Disney arent the only ones who can make a successful franchise.

Isnt The Amazing Spider-Man the first Marvel/Disney Studioes of that character?

It's still Sony/Columbia. But there's talk that Marvel and Sony may be working together to have little nods to eachother in their movies, implying that they take place in the same universe. It'd be pretty cool to have Spidey, the Fantastic Four, and more all in the same film universe.

It's still Sony/Columbia.

Marvel was directly involved in the production of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. I ran the production notes and credits on SciFi Japan, and the credits state "Columbia Pictures presents a Marvel Entertainment / Laura Ziskin / Avi Arad / Matt Tolmach production". The film's Executive Producer is Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. Feige oversees all creative aspects of Marvel’s feature film and home entertainment activities, and that includes all the Avengers group of films.

The idea that Marvel can't wait to get the Spider-Man franchise back from Sony so they can make the movies themselves is false. Marvel is already making the Spider-Man films.

Sadly the deal didn't go through and fox is keeping it's grip of Galactus and Silver Surfer buuuuut Daredevil most likely will be going back to the mouse if nothing happens in October.

Real shame too, with surfer and Galactus we could of gotten a BIIIIG cosmic event like infinity gauntlet done 98% correctly. But not only that but could you imagine a scene with Reed Richards and Tony Stark? Or Reed, Tony, Bruce, and Hank Pym?

OOOOR better yet, Iron man vs Doctor Doom/Avengers vs Doctor Doom.

This is exactly why I like seeing you contribute to threads, kpa. That's something I didn't know and I find it interesting. Is that also the case for Raimi's Spider-man trilogy and other marvel films outside of the Avengers?

It's been the case with all of them post-X-Men, as far as I know. I know Avi Arad was heavily involved Raimi's trilogy, back when he was a big shot at Marvel, and has been listed as a producer on many others since. For some reason he's still involved in the Spider-Man series even after he left the company.

I can imagine if Daredevil goes to Marvel then Disney will release the film from Touchstone Pictures if they are going for a darker film. Disney tends to release their more mature titles under Touchstone since they created Touchstone Interactive when they released the new Turok video game that came out a few years ago.

If Sony and Marvel could cross Spider-Man into the Marvel movie-verse I say let Sony keep the rights, but will know that Marvel is going to try to get Spidey and possibly Wolverine into at least one Avengers film.

Spider-Man should take place in the MCU but I don't think he should be involved in the crossovers. Keep the little nods and maybe the cameos, but we don't need him joining the Avengers right now.

Exactly!!!

I hate when this topic is brought up and some idiots think mixing Spidey in will automatically mean Spidey being in The Avengers and his own movies being meddled with, with them automatically shooting down the idea as shit. It doesn't have to be that way.

He can indeed share the same universe Marvel Studios has created. Heck, it would be awesome if he does join the Avengers later on like in the comics.

Same goes for all the other property Marvel Studios doesn't have the film rights for.

To bad for the F4 issue with Fox. Those bastards

Spidey's absence in the Marvel Cinematic Canon is a bit odd, but it's not a damnable offence. I would love to see him in a movie with other Marvel characters, but I won't scream and tear my hair out in the meantime.

I think Spidey should in the MCU not as a direct inclusion to Avengers an so but maybe one or another nod to it.
Eventually...yeah i would LOVE to see Spider-Man/FF/Daredevil in some sort of cameos or inclusion in future movies
with other heroes.
