Now I want to see another episode discussing Spike's species thanks to that pic. If they do bring back Greed Spike, they should have him briefly use Godzilla's roar or at least a more bellowing sound effect, since the roar he used in his ep didn't sound particularly threatning.

But I could just as easily imagine Greed Spike with an elephantine roar, or something like the Carcharodontosaurus. And that's another thing. Will Hasbro ever release any sound effects for all the creatures in Equestria? Because I could imagine someone making custom sound effects for each Equestrian animal. I would love to listen to that sort of thing. Kinda surprised no one did that yet.

Why do people assume it was their arguing what released him, besides being funny? It always seemed to me that it was Discord who made them fight, being finally free because of the elements changing their owners.


About Season 3, while I think the characters shouldn't limit themselves by always acting acording to their elements... I would apreciate that some of them made them more justice... Especially Rarity with generosity, Applejack with honesty, and Rainbow Dash with loyalty.

Remember the episode about the train and the cakes? Remember that Applejack was one of the few who didn't eat anything? Well, turns out she was originally going to admit that she did eat some cake, because she just couldn't keep lying. The scenne was cut to make the episode shorter, as it wasn't essential since there was no foreshadowing... On one hand it made her look good, being inocent, but on the other it would have prooved that she is the element of Honesty. It has become a common complain that Rainbow Dash and Applejack should switch elements...


I previously asked if the Season 2 poster with all the characters had any clue for season 3, but I forgot that it isn't the only poster. The map seems to indicate that Gryphons and dragons have their own countries, I wonder if we'll se anything about that... I also wonder if the show will ever introduce Hyppogriffs.

Did anyone/thing on the show ever explain how he escaped? Unless someone who worked on this gave us an official explanation (Which I wouldn't doubt.), fans can freely speculate and assume what happened. Maybe Discord's prison is actually very strong, but he had been building up power over the years and the CMC's squabble simply pushed him to full strength. Or perhaps Discord just happened to escape at the exact same time that the CMC started arguing. One can come up with loads of ideas.

I just went with the simple option, based entirely on what we see and nothing more; that Discord was freed because of the girls' arguing. I do think there's some possibility that that isn't the whole picture. After all, Princess Celestia would be either very thick or very manipulative if she were to allow her own enemy to be displayed in public, where arguments and squabbles could happen at any time in order to free him. But hey, I'm going simply with what I saw.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I see you're big on seeing multiple giant monster fights in this show... But this isn't Ultraman or Godzilla. I think it's much better seeing the ponies use their ingenuity, wits, and magic to take care of monsters, like they have been doing for quite a while. Using outright brute force to take out every beast they meet with is kinda boring, imo. One Spike vs giant monster episode would be cool, though.

Agreed. Not every single fanwork has to have Spike be a killing machine that's unstoppable. Sometime's, a bit of a more humbling scenario for a character is needed.It gets a little boring when all one sees of a character is "I AM BULLETPROOF!" unless it is a distinctive part of that character IN CANON.
