Well well well, it seems someone found my fanfic! :) Didn't think I'd see a mention of it on here... dang, it's more popular than I thought.

Whoa, you wrote that fic?! Wow, great to see ya! and welcome to the TK herd! ;)

Glad to be here, and glad you like the fanfic too! :D I actually got here from the story's Stats page on fimfiction.net, because I was surprised to see that there were so many links already, and I saw this and thought, "Hey, I've never heard of this website before", so I clicked the link, saw your post, and figured I'd express my thanks! :D

^ Welcome aboard, Shadowed Rainbow. So, are you a Godzilla fan too, or just here for the pony? Not that it'll matter, soon. Our local herd is expanding at the usual ridiculous pace, so we'll take over the site before too much longer.

... what the hell happened while I was gone? Serious, what the skreeonk? Twilight vs. SpaceGodzilla? Discussed this seriously? Are you kidding me?

Everyone knows the only pony that SpaceG is interested is Luna.

Hmmmmmmm.... Just watched the two part series opener.

+It's well animated for sure.
+The voice work is top notch for what it is.
+Each character is different and well defined, if a bit cliched. Shades of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, lol.
+It's not dumbed down for its age bracket.
+There's a clear message here. Each character acts in a way that makes them a nice role model for children. The themes of loyalty, friendship, kindness and caring are worked into the plot in a way that only feels a little forced.

-The villain was meh.
-Very girlie. I expected this, but it still grates on me.
-Some characters got on my nerves. In particular the motormouth "Bubbles" type.

All in all, not a terrible watch. Don't think I could get into it really. Might watch the third episode as it focuses on Sailor Jup- BVuttercu-I mean the blue pegasus. She was easily my favorite.

And this episode was one of the more blunt, heavy-handed ones as far as forcing the moral in goes. Each episode has one, but they're usually incorporated pretty effectively into the plot and don't feel tacked-on. That's something this show does pretty well, as opposed to, say, Fairly Odd Parents, where Timmy just screams the moral in every ep. "OH NO, I (insert mistake here) AND I'M GONNA LOSE MY FAIRY GODPARENTS! AAAH!"

And Pinkie Pie gets way, way better in the later episodes. All of the characters do. This was just the basic, introductory stuff. They're fleshed out much more as the show goes.

Watched episode three. Still trying to get over the absurdity if a 29 year old man watching a cartoon with characters name "Pinkie Pie", "Rainbow Dash", "Twilight Sparkle", and "Apple Jack". This episode was alright... The plot about everyone wanting the ticket was kind of cliched but amusing. I thought this would be a Rainbow Dash episode but it wasn't. Stupid misleading Netflix.

So... Do we ever see what Spike grows up into?

Fun fact: I was a raging MLP fan as a very young child. I always wanted the little Spike figure.

'Cliched but amusing' is kind of this show's MO. It uses all the standard, old cartoon plots, but puts its own entertaining spin on them.

And yes, actually, we do get to see fully-grown Spike. A few other adult dragons, too.

Yes, we do see Spike grow up (for a time), but it's not until Season 2.

Sigh... Just... look up Yukari's name on Touhou... I'm not explaining the joke...

I will admit, I laughed pretty hard when I saw that pic...

The sheer number of Touhou/My Little Pony crossover stuff is mind-boggling...

I know right? It seems crossing over two popular series appeases every fan.

Well, not every fan... but a good chunk of them.

I would do anything for the next season of MLP to be a crossover with Touhou... Yukari be trolling the ponies! Unfortunately, that's as likely as me gonig out into a hurricane and coming out completely dry, due to ZUN perferring the series to stay as a video game fanchise..

At the risk of sounding like a pessimist, I wish for FIM to cross-over with nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

Well, maybe with Transformers and Alien...
