Makes sense I suppose. Though I wouldn't mind reading a fanfic of Spike going Berserk mode, I do prefer fanfics more based on the show.

BTW, anyone else but me actually kinda tired of Pinkie Pie's reality breaking and would like somepony else to have that ability?
Preferably certain purple T-rexes.

The disregard for reality is one of Pinkie's main and most popular abilities. Taking that away would be like taking Twilight's magic or something. You just don't do that.

But the other characters do break the fourth wall from time to time. For example, Spike moved the background during one of Twilight's Lesson Zero freakouts. And Dash was whistling along to Ride of the Valkyries during the race through Ghastly Gorge. And probably other instances I'm forgetting.

Yeah, but her reality breaking is going bland on me. I'd prefer it if that sort of thing was a common occurence caused by someone like maybe Spike or Doctor Whooves. For Pinkie, it could work better if she didn't just pull stuff like the Party Cannon out of nowhere. If she could throw a shark out of her mane, then yeah, that would be funny, but most of the time it's just bland.

^ Yeah, but things like the Party Cannon actually make sense for Pinkie. She's always throwing parties, so a way to instantly create one is a 'logical' thing for her to have. Though I'm sure the show's writers could find a reason for her to have a shark, if a story called for it.

And I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Doctor Whooves to do anything significant. I'm sure there are legal complications that would prevent Hasbro from doing any kind of detailed Doctor Who parody without permission, and they aren't likely to go through any trouble over that when kids wouldn't understand the joke anyway.

Why don't we make Fluttershy do magic, get Rainbow to buck apples, and have Rarity be good with animals while we're screwing with central traits, huh? And hey, might as well make other children characters bloodthirsty monsters as well. Doesn't that sound swell? Like Pound and Pumpkin Cake. They're babies too, let's turn them into killers. That's a great idea.

One more thing I'd like to say (aside from agreeing with the singing moment) if you're going to do some MLP fanon in some ways darker than the canon, you can't really deviate from the source personalities of the canon characters, otherwise you have unrelated ponies with suspiciously similar names.
