Anywho, briefly going back to the matter of shipping... although I'm not real big on it, I'll admit that I do enjoy TwiDash. I dunno, maybe it's because they're two of my favorites, maybe it's the whole opposite deal, but I just like it. Considering I'm interested in Rarity and Applejack to some extent as well, it is probably the opposites thing.

Anyway, my favorite ship is probably PinkieDash. It just... works. Really well. Their personalities have all the right similarities and differences. Works just as well as ordinary friendship, too, though. I hope they co-star in an episode or two in S3.

Other favorite ships include TwiDash, obviously, RariJack (I also like the opposites thing), FlutterDash, and LyraBon.

EDIT: And Twixie! Thanks, GTU. Can't believe I forgot that one. I just wish there were more (good) fanfics about it...

And on that note, am I the only one confused/annoyed by the lack of CheeriMac fanfics? What the hell, bronies? The show gives us an actual canon ship, and it's ignored?

^Most likely because most of the fandom was already used to Fluttermac and was therefore taken by suprise by the canon Cherrimac. However I did come across one or two Cheerimac fanfics, so the fandom should be getting used to that pairing.

Sometimes I wonder if Hasbro could ever have Godzilla references in MLP, or perhaps have some hints at possibly canon pairings. Speaking of which, here are a few more episodes I thought up:

Hoof Job: After discovering Rainbow Dash is sensitive to hoof pedicures, Rarity decides to halp her out the fun way.

Tinyshy: A large, ceerful dinosaur constantly calls Fluttershy a tiny pony, and Fluttershy begins to wonder if the pony scale is the smallest size for sentient creatures.

Sharptooth: After a rogue Tyrannosaurus attacks Ponyville, Spike believes that he himself is rogue as well.

Cutie Belle: Rarity gets a snake for Sweetie Belle as a pet, but when the snake starts showing off Sweetie's cuteness, there could be more benefits than they thought.

Lunashy: Luna gets help from Fluttershy about being more nice, but winds up gaining the affection of reptiles everywhere.

Pinkie Spike: When Spike and Pinkie Pie gain a growing friendship, they have to help the other ponies after one of Twilight's spells goes wrong.

Veloci-Soldier: A war veteran Velociraptor tells Spike all the things of war and what dragons are really like, and Spike begins to take what he says too well.

Other ships I like: FlutterMac, TwiLuna, PinkieMac, TwiMac, DashMac, Twinkie, RariTwi, DashFire, ScratchTavia, ScootaBelle... I could probably go on.

The only ones I actively dislike are AppleDash (not sure why, myself), anything with Celestia or Discord, and Spike with anything except Rarity, Sweetie Belle, or a female dragon. Not a fan of RariPants, either. Or anything involving incest.

Anything not covered above I either don't care either way about, or have forgotten.

Alright then, since the second season is now over, which did you find better? Season one or season two?

Me, I dunno. Season two felt a lot funnier, like it fully found itself this time around. But, at the same time, there are a few season one episodes I would watch over almost all of season two. So... tie, I guess.

I still prefer Season One. The Mane Six, overall, were handled better, and most of their more iconic episodes, scenes, lines, etc. were from S1. When I think 'Rarity', Suited For Success and The Art of The Dress are still the first things that come to mind. When I think 'Pinkie', I usually think Party of One or some of her S1 songs. And so on.

The music was definitely better in S1, too. Most of its songs are still stuck in my head on a daily basis. Aside from Find A Pet, none of the S2 songs did a whole lot for me. Though to be fair, I've only seen a lot of them once. Repeat viewings might help them out.

That said, S2 certainly had its Mane Six moments. May The Best Pet Win is my favorite Dash episode. Sweet and Elite and Sisterhooves Social are my second and third-favorite Rarity eps. Hurricane Fluttershy I have yet to rewatch, but the first impression was very good. All of the Mane Six (and CMCs) were finally able to write Friendship Reports, which streamlined their non-Twilight focus episodes. And other stuff I'm too lazy to type or am forgetting.

S2 is also to be commended for fleshing out some of the side characters and building up the world of Equestria. We were formally introduced to Luna and Granny Smith, got to see a lot more of Mac, Cheerilee, Zecora, and some others, met Discord, Cadence, Shining Armor, Chrysalis, and various others, Derpy talked, and so on. We got background stories for the foundings of Equestria and Ponyville, we saw a lot more of Canterlot... etc, etc, etc.

The main thing holding S2 down, unfortunately, is the presence of a few 'bad' episodes. S1 may have been dull or forgettable in places, but none of its episodes did anything (IMO) detrimental to the characters. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for Mare Do Well, It's About Time, and one or two others.

It was still an overall fun season, though. And even said 'bad' episodes had redeeming qualities and/or provided material for some of the fandom's great works. So it evens out. If S3 can be as good as S2, I'll be happy.
