I've met more straight bronies than those of other sexualities. To be fair, I'm a moderate brony myself. I watch the show when I can and appreciate the fandom, however I don't follow the show religiously or take part in its culture. On that chart that Terrier posted, I assume I fall under the moderate section. I think its a well produced show and think its a fun thing to take part in.

My brother on the other hand is huge into MLP. He's done some pretty good artwork as well.

What I'm talking about isn't strictly about sexual orientation. It is a whole slew of factors and variables.

I'm talking about the why and how males becomes MLP fans. And it's not the superficial "It's a good show!" or the other responses.

The fact of the matter is, that's the main reason alot of people get into. Like the new Scooby Doo series or the Last Airbender cartoons, they attract a wide audience for being creative and well produced children's shows. The fact that they are so cheery and lighthearted also makes it appealing to alot of people who need something fun or innocent in their lives. Personally, I find its sense of humor pretty fun and I've had a good time every time I've turned it on.

I don't particularly care about the subculture. I care more about how it came about and why. While simple questions, the answers are difficult to articulate. I'm interested in common aspects that bronies may hold. Are they alpha males or submissive males? Their views on sexuality and gender roles. I'm looking for the deeper psychological and sociological aspects.

I think there are as many realities as there are bronies, in the end it all comes to people ending up liking "Friendship is Magic", or at least some aspects of it, for wathever reason or context.

But anyway, you may find this post interesting: http://awthredestim.blogspot.com.es/201 ... dress.html

Note to self: Do not discuss the external study of a community with the community itself.

Also reading a post that said MLP helped a guy regain his faith in Humanity's progress, made me lose my own.
Pity Neutrinos had me hoping too.

May have to do with those charity projects that come from time to time. It's something.

Congratulations. Your reply is number 1964, the year "Mothra vs. Godzilla" was released. And that's relevant.

The hell happens when I'm gone? Psychology, demographics, pachyderns, movie release dates...

I'M HERE FOR PONIES, DAMMIT!

Beyond that, Croc and SS4G are hardly haters. They're cool guys. If their occasional fun-poking sessions are the worst he get from now on, I'd be a happy man.

Oh okay, then I could get behind that.

I just thought he meant the show itself, I'm all for loving your favorite show and all. But there's a limit of how highly you should praise something ya know?

Is it safe to say that "Hurricane Fluttershy" is the best episode so far this season? And a good one to get started? It feels like it has been unanimously well received among fans.
