Alright then, since the second season is now over, which did you find better? Season one or season two?

Me, I dunno. Season two felt a lot funnier, like it fully found itself this time around. But, at the same time, there are a few season one episodes I would watch over almost all of season two. So... tie, I guess.

I still prefer Season One. The Mane Six, overall, were handled better, and most of their more iconic episodes, scenes, lines, etc. were from S1. When I think 'Rarity', Suited For Success and The Art of The Dress are still the first things that come to mind. When I think 'Pinkie', I usually think Party of One or some of her S1 songs. And so on.

The music was definitely better in S1, too. Most of its songs are still stuck in my head on a daily basis. Aside from Find A Pet, none of the S2 songs did a whole lot for me. Though to be fair, I've only seen a lot of them once. Repeat viewings might help them out.

That said, S2 certainly had its Mane Six moments. May The Best Pet Win is my favorite Dash episode. Sweet and Elite and Sisterhooves Social are my second and third-favorite Rarity eps. Hurricane Fluttershy I have yet to rewatch, but the first impression was very good. All of the Mane Six (and CMCs) were finally able to write Friendship Reports, which streamlined their non-Twilight focus episodes. And other stuff I'm too lazy to type or am forgetting.

S2 is also to be commended for fleshing out some of the side characters and building up the world of Equestria. We were formally introduced to Luna and Granny Smith, got to see a lot more of Mac, Cheerilee, Zecora, and some others, met Discord, Cadence, Shining Armor, Chrysalis, and various others, Derpy talked, and so on. We got background stories for the foundings of Equestria and Ponyville, we saw a lot more of Canterlot... etc, etc, etc.

The main thing holding S2 down, unfortunately, is the presence of a few 'bad' episodes. S1 may have been dull or forgettable in places, but none of its episodes did anything (IMO) detrimental to the characters. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for Mare Do Well, It's About Time, and one or two others.

It was still an overall fun season, though. And even said 'bad' episodes had redeeming qualities and/or provided material for some of the fandom's great works. So it evens out. If S3 can be as good as S2, I'll be happy.

Eeyup. Could be interesting. Also got a few more ideas:

LOL wut?:(An April Fools episode) Pretty much all kinds of memes pop up in Equestria, and Luna blames it on Celestia for no reason.

Limbo: Spike, after loosing much of his memory and having it replaced with the instincts of a Velociraptor, wakes in the Evrfree Forest and lives off the land while slowly regaining his memory.

Moon Travel: Discord sends Luna, Spike, and Doctor Hooves to the moon, though they don't seem to mind.

The annoy-less thing: Discord struggles to annoy a T-rex to no success, and goes crazy while doing so.

Taste the Rainbow: A pterosaur follows around Rainbow Dash, and RD feels that it has something to do with her taste.

Snapping Spike: Spike grows progressivly hungry, and is becoming interested in the taste of ponies.

Tiny-Tosh: Big Mac turns into a colt, but finds it's more fun than he thought.

My Little What?: An accident by Luna's spell causes Spike to slowly transform into a crazed dinosaur.

I've been reading the posts about all the "shipping" for this series, and I must say, you all seriously scare me. I don't get the point of having to add sex to EVERYTHING, especially a kid's cartoon. It's just wierd. I don't get the point, I don't get any entertainment value out of it, I don't understand why guys have to put lesbianism in a freakin' kid's show...

Just my two cents. Sorry if I'm harsh, but it's just plain creepy.

'Shipping' is not porn. The fandom uses the separate term 'clopfics' (clop = fap) to differentiate those fics. Shipfics are just romances, usually with little or no sex involved. Just the emotional/minor physical side of things. EqD requires shipfics to keep everything at a 'teen' rating, and won't take anything graphic.

I'm the opposite. Used to watch Pokeshipping as a kid, and then realized it was kinda wierd.

I'm just against it, that's all. I don't get the point of it, and I don't even think it's cute. The idea of putting these romantic traits on characters even when they never existed in the original material just seems strange to me. Especially ponies.
