Not to be the party pooper but i'm still not generally excited for this, which is surprising since i'm a huge fan of monster movies. i'm hoping when we get an Official Trailer my mind will change.

Also not a big fan of Del-Toro, but i'm with-holding judgement an the poster does nothing for me either.

Wow...although just a Teaser Trailer it looks Epic as hell. Comic Con wait should be a little more
bearable after this.

Since they've been filming for a while, anyone expect a sort of teaser trailer for this next week at the Con?

Bigger monsters and robots tend to bother me. They take away a sense drama that smaller monsters can have. Take, for example, when the building fell on Godzilla in Godzilla 2000. It gave us a sense of "shit, that musta hurt" or something. The bigger they get, the more it takes away from the experience for me.

Plus it just looks ridiculous at times. I draw my standard monster sizes around 100 meters.

Hmm. I guess it does look much larger than 100 meters upon a second glance haha.

It's hard to tell without being able to see the lower body, but I doubt it's over 100 meters. Looks like easily 80, though. There's always the possibility that the poster is inaccurate, too. Look how much the GINO poster exaggerated.

The robot may be a lot stockier than a human, so not as tall as some of you are thinking. Which makes sense, as it would have a lower center of gravity, & be a lot harder for a kaiju to topple over.

Hero Zero was an original character created by DHP since they obviously couldn't use Ultraman. How a Charles Barkley crossover ever got approval however

But about Pacific Rim- would it be cool if it lead into Godzilla- Sure. Do I think its going to happen. No. But in just about a week we should know more about both films based on what is revealed at SDCC.
There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.
