Is there nothing sacred? Seriously? Total Recall does not need to be remade. Its a perfect little stand alone action/scifi flick from a very fun time to be a fan of the genre.

Everything will be remade... why?

Because fans of the original are more likely to check it out (that's built in marketing right there), and because it will increase sales of the original. So its money all around, even if a lot of the remakes are feeling increasingly half-hearted.

The original was great, and hard to believe it been 20 years since the last movie cameout. And still find it hard to believe that they are remaking 90's movies now.

Why must timeless films be trashed by horrible remakes? For teh money, boys... Unfortunately, nowadays, it's far easier and lazier to do a cruddy remake of a classic than to try something original. I just hope this Totaal Recall remake enters development hell...

I have to say it: the original film was a waste of a good Phillip K. Dick story. I want something more like Blade Runner this time.
